what'd you use to tint the mirrors?

 

Bruce did them for me when I picked up my lip. Vinyl and a heat gun. He did a really good job, all my attempts failed miserably.

high gloss or matte? I love the way mine are, but the matte is getting old. Im going to re do mine with high gloss

Damn, I want my mirror signals tinted....sounds like a difficult job to pull off well tho. Wish I lived near Bruce...Anyone in Chicagoland that can help with this

And definitely dip the grill. I still love looking at mine, especially at night when all I can really see is the Acura symbol. The dip still looks just like it did when I put it on however many months ago too.

 

I'm just worried about automatic car washes. Since my car is a light color I tend to use them alot, especially during this time of the year

 

Worried about car washes for your grill or the mirror tint? I use an automatic wash, and my grill is holding up perfectly.

 

Grill, so that's good to know. Gonna do the grill, chrome strips in the fog bezels, and whichever emblems i don't pull off the trunk lid. That's my first step toward the storm trooper look I'm gonna go for.

occasionally... depends on how long i let it sit before i start it up. generally like 1 week max before it dies.

 

Bought my '08 S-type two weeks ago, and with Swoop's help, it's now running properly (AT switches, ATF, engine mounts, tranny cooler leak fixed, new oil, coolant, spark plugs, filters, etc). I'm ready to join in the UA7 fun!

BTW, it now runs like a jet. I'm grateful for all I've learned on Acurazine (it's why I bought an S-type), and for the KC crew!
