The one with the ghosts...uh-huh. But, we should post that one all over so people quit asking about lambo doors.
Those doors DO look stupid.

I suppose the different strokes for different folks thing applies here. At the end of it all though, i assumed they would look more out of place and way less proportional. If it has to be done, the TL's pictured dont do too bad a job with 22"s on them, not my cup of tea, but hey. I think its also a result of the latest donk/bubble/box craze going on. It makes it look more appropriate if thats even fair to use in this situation. Anyhow, it never seems to work well when you put huge wheels on a sport sedan. Clean/tidy/simple is normally the best route.

"Yeah, man. My wheels are 22". It says so right there on my fender. In case you didn't know, 22" is huge, so I need to let everyone know just in case they're not privileged enough to have the time of day to come up and ask me."

it for the same reason people put racing stickers on ther car saying supercharged and turbo i mean we can hear it but they put the sticker on there.

"Yeah, man. Im turbo charged". It says so right there on my fender. In case you didn't know, turbos are cool, so I need to let everyone know just in case they're not privileged enough to have the time of day to come up and ask me.

If 22's are too heavy why not go with wood?

Would Pirelli custom fit tires for these?

Thanks for "setting me straight" and "laying it down." People who use "u" for "you" and randomnly capitalize or not depending on how lazy they're feeling at that moment in that sentence really have an impact. I think I could dump a bag of marbles on a keyboard and create a more legible argument than yours; with better grammar.

Good luck finishing third grade.

Wow. :sarcastic-clap-emoticon:

Do I even bother with a response?

If you're gonna call me out, be prepared to get schooled, whether that's on the internet or real life. I'm surprised you're even capable of figuring out how to submit a message, considering that you somehow missed every single one of my 8,000 posts with pictures of my 3G. (or never mind the fact that you could have researched that little tidbit by looking at my signature...)

If you want to say things like "keep everything above the belt" then don't go implying that I'm somehow inferior to you, because obviously if written word was any indication whatsoever, you're not.

Wait your 30 with a 2nd Gen (huh?!) TL what happened; that management job at Burger king never fell threw
That's just one of your "sentences." You look like a fool.

Now take your toys and go home.

Pirelli's might fit, but they'd be rubberbands. Sure, steel belted, but rubberbands none the less.

ha ha...You people just dont give up....At my age texting and acronyms are in and proper grammar on the internet and phones is the least of my worries, maybe on my next literature exam but not here.

If you guys wanna hi-jack this thread with gramma issues take it to the Off Topic forums. This thread if for point of views, opinions, and pics of TLs on 22".

LOL OMG STFU ... JK

I think he was just messing around, and possibly siding with you. I wasn't, though. But, I will apologize for being a jerk earlier.

I get offended when people try to imply (or express) that I'm sort sort of racist or anything related to it, because I'm the furthest thing from that. I even said in my original post (the one that got your attention) that I "probably just [don't] understand that culture." Basically, I was just throwing out a disclaimer that I didn't get it. It wasn't intended to be spiteful; I was just questioning it because it doesn't make sense to me, personally.

To be clear, there's nothing wrong with questioning a "culture." This whole AcuraZine thing is a culture, and I'm sure people who aren't interested in online forums, or in modifying their cars, would be very quick to question the culture, but there's nothing wrong with that, per se.

FWIW - I didn't see the whole "language flame war" thing on page 2 until AFTER I posted mine.

So, I was supporting your choice to do what you wanted to your car, while taking a jab at your post language. But, would not have done so had I seen the 2nd page sooner.

I was too late to edit/delete and did not have a "report post" option on my own post to request deletion.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Definitely. I'll be taking it a bit easy for a little while, though, while the checkbook recovers a little bit from the rims and tires hit it just took (~$2000ish). I'm strongly considering the Tein with the EDFC package, but I want to be careful before making any commitments because I've heard a lot of good and a lot of bad about Tein.

Brett - I didn't want to comment here, but it's the only place you've posted pics of the new wheels (not allowed to comment in the sticky in the Wheels subforum)....they look great! You need to start a clean thread with a lot pics from all angles.

All - text messaging is the most assinine form of communication ever, and the subsequent "language" of abbreviations it spawned is just sad. I don't care if all the kids are doing it...all the kids used to where Jams and parachute pants, too. It was summed up best in an episode of The Boondocks.
