Tint: Before & After

just finished the tint an hour ago at a local but very reputable shop for $160.
Car: WDP, parchment interior
Tint: SolarGard ceramic 28% net Windows & Rear Windshield (MA legal is only 35%.. but parchment interior should help... knock on wood)
The shop said not to roll down the windows for 3 days if the sun is out, and 7 days if the sun is not out for the tint to cure properly.
Result: very happy, a little reflective, I like it that way and not just plain dark black. Also, since she's WDP, darker windows makes her really sharp and clean

Before:

After:
Check out the difference b/w nontint windshield and 28% windows

true! it's kinda fun to do research for things like this! I know there are brands that are more popular and better than SolarGard but this is good enough for $160 with lifetime warranty
Hell, I called like 5 different local tinting shops asking for prices on different types of films, why they recommend it, and if they'd go lower than legal 35% cuz some shops won't. LOL

Looks good. I got the same brand.

Question: From the inside, when the sun hits, does it look like a hue of brownish when looking out?

nope, no brownish for me whether the sun hits or not.
the effect you got might due to the different shade you got (mine is 28%). And SolarGard also has different types of tint, mine is ceramic.

LOL nope, I went with the Tint Guy in Lawrence, they're quite a reputable shop as well. Got 10% off so total price cam out $160. Lifetime warranty against fading, scratching, bubbling, etc.

I called SolarGard and they quoted me $180 but only have SunTek which is not ceramic tint and I installed the moleskin by myself 1 week before tinting.

OP, I also went to Tint Guy in Lawrence for my last car (Accord). You're right , the price is hard to beat. The tint itself came out good, but I had a few complaints about solution that was left on my back seats and side panels. Not acceptable.

I plan on going to Tint King instead for the TL. More money, but Huber Optik ftw.

I have heard a lot of great reviews for Tint King. I called and they quoted me $300 for the Huper Optik. I just feel like I could buy something else with the extra $120.

thank you! the tinter showed me 2 films 28% and 35%, and the legal limit 35% is def too light for me. Even with now with 28% I still feel like I only have 35% LOL

Was thinking about doing 28% all around and from these pics I'm almost 100% positive I will. Did you tint the windshield at all? Very nice job.

Very nice. If you get a chance, take some pics in the sunlight.

Came out looking good. How does it look in direct sunlight? Those pics look like it was cloudy outside.
