These will make you cry guranteed

Fellow TL owners as we take so much pride and joy in our rides, remember that utter destruction can happen so very quickly.........

http://web.mac.com/ykjones/iWeb/Site...%20photos.html

Original estimate was $13,578 worth of damage. Body shop states that will most likely go up as the estimate was done without being able to open the hood. Car is at a Acura certified bodyshop and the work will take about a month, apparently looking brand new. In the meantime I am in pure agony in my rental vehicle a Nissan Frontier for the next month. Have to be grateful as myself nor the other party were injured on the freeway. The car protected me superbly and did exactly what it was supposed to do with the front and side airbags deploying. If they declare it totaled, I will definitely be getting another one!

was on the I-95 going about 75-80 hit some water and started hydroplaning in far left lane. Couldn't regain control. Hit the left guard rail and the impact spun me around into the next lane where a car hit me.

Glad to see that you and the other party came out alright. Thanks to the almighty above for looking out for you. I wish the best for you and the recovery of your baby the TL. If not then get another one like you said....that's what I would do.

First off, glad everyone is okay!

If they don't total it, I would sell/trade it the day they finished. I have never seen a car with that much damage be as good as new after repair.

Updated before and after photos

Sorry gents, I recently added some updated photos of what the ride looked like before the accident. Thanks for all of your support. I hope to get an estimate from the body shop today of how long the repair process will take as this past week was spent completely dismantling the car.

Update on damage estimate

Gents and ladies (if you are out there), got an update on the damage assessment on my TL-$22,000 and stil some items pending. My baby in all likehood be totaled.
I'm already looking for a 05/06 in either silver again or anthracite grey. Yes, you better believe I'll be getting all my A-Spec wheels, steering wheel, shift knob to transfer to my next TL when I get it.
Thanks for all the kind words and support. Drive carefully as you can see what can happen in just a few seconds of hydroplaning on the freeway. Luckily no one was injured I will certainly be posting pics ASAP when I get my new TL.

Car is totaled

Car is indeed totaled. Got the word from Geico today. Should be getting the pay out soon. I'm already hunting for another one. I loved my silver, but I'm thinking of going with something different. I'm torn between the antharcite, white, and silver. Anybody get a good deal on a 06? Anyone get a good deal from a dealer in Va/Dc/Md/Pa for a 06 TL?

happened to me..

Oh man, I feel for you bro...back in October, this girl pulled out of a parking lot in her Lincoln Navigator right in front of me and my 3 month old '05 TL, and well, "WHAM!!" broadsided her doing about 40. My car? Totaled, but it took the bodyshop and insurance 7 weeks to come to that conclusion....why? I still don't know. Basically, I tried to avoid the Navigator by swerving left, but as you can see, I didn't quite make it...had serious frame damage, but I think the TL absolutely kept me from even getting injured.

It really sucked...in any case, New Years Eve, I bought me a brand spanking new '06..I actually got a little more than what I owed on the car from the insurance, so I went with the ASPEC rims this time, and a quartz, instead of black interior:

So anyway man, I've been through EXACTLY what you are going through right now...it REALLY sucks, but hey, I actually like the new one better, and now I have a tire pressure monitoring system. I Live in L.A., and I got the '06 for $32,345, and that is with Navigation...now with the rims, it came in at just around $34,500...pretty good deal if you ask me. I went through the internet department, and they quoted me the bottom line price right up front. It's a pretty good system. If you like, send Power Acura South Bay an e-mail asking for a quote on a new '06 with navi..they should give it to you very cheap, then take that to your local Acura dealership, and they'll be forced to match it...Good Luck!!

Thanks TSibye for the reply. Damn, they totaled your ride? Took them 7 weeks to come to that? Man how did you survive that. I've been bouncing off of walls with the bodyshop/insurance taking 10 days to say it's totaled. I like your new ride and of course the wheels. Can you imagine how painful it was saying goodbye to my ride this morning with my wheels on. I didn't keep my stock tires/wheels to swap out. Note to everyone WHEN YOU UPGRADE KEEP YOUR STOCK TIRES AND WHEELS. Sounds like you got a good deal on your new ride. Hope to have mine this week in either black or like yours. Did the dealer throw in the tires with the wheels. I know the a-spec's are rims 18's and the stock wheels are 17's. Was your price out the door? Hey I just came from Cali not long ago (Escondido). There is a Acura ebay store online. The prices can not be beat and they are where I got all my A-Spec stuff from (wheel, suspension, and the wheels). Everything is brand new in the package and funny thing is that it is right in back of the Cush Acura of Escondido.
