thanks & goodbye to Acurazine

I will still be a member but probably just a spectator.
After 2 TL's, so many good times, good info, connections, group buys, meets...
and so on its time for me to move on.
An inexperienced and probably intoxicaded driver took my baby away on Memorial day.
she lived fast and died young, but the most important thing is she protected my sister and me when we were hit and sent airborne a few feet high and off road.
I cared for this car too much. nobody ever washed it but me and she didn't have a single scratch until this tragedy.
I got a new baby now but I loved theTL too much.
so my parking spots are occupied but i still feel the loss
1/17/16 - 5/26/08
loved and missed by many.

..a clean canvas....let the modding begin..

Sorry again to hear about the accident. Glad you're okay though!

Time for the Active Autowerke ECU on that Bimmer. Friends put down 330whp/360wtq with just that (335i though).

Best of luck with the car!

On a side note, ditch the stockies on the 335. I'm guessing you're going to upgrade the rims/suspension since you didn't get the sports package?

Definately. I took what they had on the lot for MSRP rather than spending more and waiting. Definately coilovers. Maybe black M6 wheels from ebay or custom rims with a massive lip after winter. The chip and exhaust are tempting.

Get the Dinan chip. From what I hear, it's the only chip that retains warranty and supposedly adds something like 50whp.

hell yea it ruffled my damn feathers and knocked a few screws loose
my sis handled it well because she wasn't looking. all she knows is I said something about the idiot and mashed the horn.
then all i see is airbags and i took the ride. it was a nerve shattering impact followed by a series of hits and a rough landing. not fun
my concussion messed me up and i was in a very bad mood when i picked up the 335xi 2 months later. it wrecked me too but the best thing is that I'm still here to complain about it. i went back to the spot this evening with my girl today and I just felt good to be there again. i came within feet of a huge pole and a tree.
plus i could have taken out anyone in my path.

Yeah, it does but costs about twice the price of the Active Autowerke system. From what I saw at the dyno, the Dinan put down the least amount of power but still a nice gain over stock. It's definitely on the conservative side (probably a part of the reason they were able to still honor the manufacturer warranty). Most people with the Active Autowerke just remove the system when they take it in to the dealer, although it's not exactly plug and play. I'd probably just go with the Dinan though to save the hassle.

By the way, ilililililililili, your car is what made me decide to go with the 5Zigen SC3000's. In fact, they just came in today.

^she lives.
So does the curse of the Blacura, so beware!!

$$talks and Dinan is highly reputable. I've heard a lot of people go for the Vishnu package.but I'm speeding here. She's not even broken in and I need to open her up first. The handling and twin turbos put shame on MY (no flames)upgrades to the TL.

My sis got a broken pinky and ankle from the crash landing on her side. She just started walking again, but she's doing better than me. I got rocked to bed by the impact.

Grille

Hey, i'd like to say beautiful car. In the first picture

did you just paint the top of the grille and the line through the Acura symbol, or is that something you bought?

I've owned a 335i uphill before.
Owned me on the straights, but some how, he understeered at a hairpin and I got tailgated by me coming out of the apex. LOL

I dunno how a FWD owned a RWD like that but it happened and I LOL'd at him.
