STI Lip on '04-'06 A-Spec
Hey guys! Having seen a few STI lip threads of people asking what fits, I figured I'd create this thread, including pictures. I found that the '11-'14 fits best on my '06 TL. It wraps around the A-Spec lip perfectly, all the way to the wheel well.
It requires a good amount of work (at least an hour or two's worth) to get it to fit right. You'll need at least two people, a heat gun, and a handful of your hardware of choice to bolt it up.
The two trouble spots are on the curves of both lips, but with a good amount of heat and pressure, the lip can be molded to fit - once the lip is hot and malleable, one person holds the lip in place while the other secures it down while its still hot. This lip should fit '07-'08 Base and Type-S A-Spec, but will still require some work.
This is the lip I purchased, and its even cheaper than before! $55!

Here are some pics of it installed on my car... enjoy. Excuse the dirty car pictures haha.

Wow I have not seen the 2011 lip used. I used either the 05 or 06

Seeing this beautiful Type S in the snowbound hurts my heart. But I love the Aspec lip with the touch of gray.

Intermediate
it does look good, doesn't it.
ill be trying it out in hopefully 2-3 weeks as soon as i get my type s bumper and a spec pieces in
OP you seem to have a mild drop, so I'm curious how low is your front end now off the ground with that lip?

Thanks for all the love, guys!
Steven, its a UA6.
I'm lowered on Tein Street Basis, with 1" all around left on the threads. It doesn't add a lot to the lip to make it sit lower, but it definitely looks like the car sits lower thanks to the lip.
Also, NBP*Vengeance takes credit for doing the majority of the work. :P

Confusing Name Guy
Oh I know its a different lip (sadly), I actually got in touch with Nextmod about it since its one of the cosmetic upgrades I would love on my TL. It IS modded after an STI lip as well though, just thought I'd throw it in here since we're getting all the lip love
