Probably going to be a big job to install (for me anyway) since there are several trim pieces that need to be removed. I have had the sills for about a month now and I have been doing some wiring research and studying the directions.

I think I can do it myself...... going to attempt my install this weekend..
Blue typing in the thread to match the door sills? Clever...lol...Hey, how much did those set you back? Got a link?

Your car has every mod I've been thinking of doing to my 2004 WDP TL. Great job!

How difficult is lowering the bumper to install the TLS tails?

How much was Aspec trim kit and how difficult to install?

Did you say you got the D rear deck lid for $100? hondacuraworld wants $279 for the non type S (smaller).

I live in Mass just over the RI border. What part of Rhode Island do you live in?

Thanks!

He he he he - I said to myself, "Self, what would Dark do?"..............LOL.

Here is a link from AZ - this is how I found out about them. They are quite expensive - $300.00 but they are worth every penny. I purchased them for a little less last May.

Supercomputers makes a great sill too but I don't like the overlay aspec of them. I much prefer to keep the stock look and these are even better in person. They are stock OEM sills that the guy laser cuts the ACURA out of and installs some kind of LED board behind.

They are beautiful!!!

If you look at the car in this link it almost looks like Stella........check it out!!

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=116500

Dark if you are serious about them let me know and I can PM you the guys email. I'll have to dig through some old emails to find it. I had to leave a deposit on mine while he made them up fresh. I don't think he mass produces them.....!!

Hey Zoo! Thanks for the compliments buddy......

I can proudly say everything I have done so far I did myself. I am not a mechanical kinda guy - I don't/can't change my own oil and know very little about engine mods.

So I do the things I can handle and anything else I leave to a pro......or at least someone who knows what they are doing.....LOL

The tails are wicked easy - I didn't remove the rear bumper at all, although it would have been really easy. I dropped one side at a time and installed the tails that way. Wasn't bad at all took me a couple hours I guess because I worked pretty slow.

The Aspec kit wasn't so easy. Aspec body kit is about $800.00 - there may be a group buy going on in the Black Market section.

The sides were pretty easy - front easy - rear, well let's just call that a pain in the rear. LOL Most important thing with that install is go slow, take your time, clean and prep the surfaces before sticking the tape and read a few of the DIY's here to gain some tips.

The rear TLS lip was $100.00 way back when..........sometime in March I believe the price jumped up to the current $280/$300 or so.

Cool that you are so close buddy - I'm in Cranston - Dean Estates area.

Any threads with your TL ??

No threads yet Steve. I just picked up the car last Friday. I love it! I want to wait until I get some mods completed before I post a thread. All my posts have been TL questions.

Are these the same tails you have? http://www.hondacuraworld.com/Mercha...egory_Code=ATL

Did you also upgrade your suspension?

Thanks again!

Those are the tails Zoo!! I haven't done suspension yet for two reasons........

........... I'm deciding and saving for some new wheels (probably going to be Aspec
Sparkle Silver) and at that point I'll have the suspension installed....... I've read some of the threads on that and it is WAY WAY WAY beyond what I can do myself.

Where in MA are you bud ??

I saw that tint thread and was wondering if you took your car in yet?

Saving for the wheels makes sense. These would look great on your car...and continue the black chrome theme

I live in Mansfield. I'm waiting on tint king to get the TL felt kits in. Hopefully by Monday. The more I look at your car the better it gets. Have you tinted your windows?

Good stuff man, Looking through your thread, the TL's changed alot! Put the bad boys(doorsills) on and take some more pics! BTW-The Type S look badass with the Alabaster, Anthracite, and SSM. Still deciding for those on my NBP. You think they'll look decent on em?

Yeah those rims are nice but that price is nuts! The seller is a little "off his rocker"........ I question his integrity after reading some of his auctions.

Let me know when you get the tint done - I might be willing to make the drive if they do a good job. I haven't looked into the tints much at all - just kinda starting out to see where others go and how it went for them

Thanks bud - yeah it has changed and quicker than planned too.....LOL

The TLS tails would look great on your NBP......check out the photography section there are quite a few NBP's with them on already. They look great

Steve, Those sills look cool! $300 is a little much for me. Don't think the hubby's gonna let me get anything else for a while after I had to sell the Inspyres cause I ended up not liking them .

Ya...they are way too pricey$

I called tint king today. They said they're not using the moleskin/felt anymore. They are now snipping the lower gasket. They claim they can't get the adhesive to stick and the felts always fall off. I'm not sure I'm going to have it done yet.

Steve's car looks great, I'm just currious how both of these ideas would look as I'm close to pulling the trigger on an A-Spec kit for my 2004 WDP.

I'm sure there are more than a few photo editor experts on this site who can to this with no problem.

Thanks!

My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family during this tough time.

Your brother had a beautiful car. I did not know him personally, but he will be deeply missed.

God Bless

Scott - condolences at the loss of your brother, Steve. His presence will be missed here on the site, but I'm sure will be missed a great deal more from the lives of his family. I, for one, feel for you and your family at the time of this loss.
