I ordered a couple chassis braces from heeltoe and received them yesterday. One bolted right on but the other hit the subframe before it came close to mounting up.
I'm on aspec suspension and there is 5" of clearance from the the lowest point of the bar.
The longer bar in the photo was the problem, now I just have to wait for heeltoe to get back with me.

Took my car in to get it looked at because it developed a clunk when taking off. Took the car in to an Acura tech I know and he said the xlr8 motor mount I installed around 3 weeks ago has broken. It's hard to tell in the picture but the top square where the bolt goes through snapped from the mount.

Yeah - I went in to the same shop to help roll the fender of the tech - got a nice set of Volks - he's going to be dropping on some ISC coils in the next day or two, so we did some fender rolling to help with any potential problems
this is Stephen's car - after a fresh rotate and balance, and new compliance bushings - I even saw the busted XLR8 mount too...what a shame on the mounts
those Michelin's smelled real nice while we doing some burnouts

Sucks I didn't expect it to fail especially that fast. I'm not sure why it did it I only drive this car 1-2 times a week if that and I haven't even taken off hard since installing them. I'm going to contact xlr8 about getting the top bracket replaced. If it does it again I'm going to switch to the oem mount.
Thanks Matt, yeah pretty disappointed that the mount failed that fast I might switch back to oem if xlr8 sends me a replacement bracket and it fails again. Good job on the fender roll should him out a lot. to bad you didn't get a video of the burnouts

Contacted josh at excelerate and all he seems to want to do is send the bracket back and they will weld it or I have to take it to a shop and get it welded and they will give me a 50$ store credit. Doesn't seem like much of a warranty to me, wish I would have got oem or innovative mounts instead.

When I was looking up pictures of the mounts it looked like there used to be a weld around the tab and it's no longer there now. To me it seems like a lot of stress to put on that tab.

Yeah im pretty disappointed after the amount of money I've spent with heeltoe and excelerate. Sometimes I've spent more money to support the vendors here. It's pretty frustrating but for now I may have found a temporary solution to fix the front mount till I can get this repaired or replaced. I'll check it out tomorrow and leave an update.
Thanks, can't wait to see what you do with your new kbp. I've been following your thread on the nbp tl before I even had my third gen tl. If I could find a deal on kbp 6 speed I'd purchase one and join everyone getting one lately
Thanks Matt, I've been looking into the flash pro but braking mounts and still being able to spin tires has got me second guessing my self on that.

Ha! At this point...being called young is a compliment!
Thanks, man...well...if you find one, doubt you'll regret snagging it. I can tell we're of like mind...gathering up all the old Honda's that are now selling for ridiculous pricing.

Work on my cars for most of the day today. I didn't think about it but I got all three mounts and only installed the front and rear. That meant I had a spare bracket to fix the broken front mount so tackled that first.
Next up I installed my rl calipers on my cl

Thanks guys the calipers are big at first I didn't think the calipers would clear the wheels. I didn't have the brembos of to compare them to but it seems like the rl calipers are bigger. I bedded in the brakes this morning and now they feel much better.

Thanks, the more I'm using the brakes the more I like them. I know it might effect brake bias but nothing I have really been able to tell so far and it's not like I'm tracking the car.
