SSM 04 TL replaced by 06 ASM TL with A-Spec kit

After my 04 SSM was totalled last december by a DUI rear ending me the insurance check bought a 06 ASM with navi. I spent the last four months adding the tint, A-Spec body kit and wheels with Michelin Pilot PS2's. I thought showing the "before and after" pictures would be helpful to those trying to decide on getting the A-Spec kit. If you want to see the full slide show go to the link at the bottom with my signature. Enjoy!

18X8 Motegi FF5's. The centercaps had the Motegi logo and I replaced them with Acura badges I bought on E-bay.

Gotcha! I bet if you threw them in the Black Market, with those centercaps, you would sell them in a heartbeat...

Only if you were planning on selling them though!!

Looks good, do you miss the SSM? The rims look good, but I like darker rims on silver cars. Gunmetal all the way!

I matched the ASM or SSM paint with model kit enamel spray paint made by Testors, #1246 metallic silver, followed by coat of Testors glosscoat. You can get it at any well stocked hobby shop. To make the painting easier, remove the lower grill inserts, clean them with alcohol and use masking tape to cover whatever you want to stay black. I noticed after installing the front lower spoiler will make it more difficult to remove the grill inserts due to interference from the spoiler.

I cant sell the Motegi rims because they were trashed when my 04 was totalled. Besides, the person responsible for hitting me(DUI) & his insurance company who wrote the check for my replacement 06 owns them now.

How did you get the mud flaps to match the color of your car? Same way as the bottom of the front and back grills?

I had the mud flaps painted at a local body shop who cleaned, prepped and painted them with flex agent to match my color. I did that because they are subjected to the elements.
I will be selling them soon on E-bay. Just watch for "Acura TL 2004-2006 splash guards / mud flaps - painted silver."
