Something different

Coming from an s2000 world I've always been more attracted to the race car image.

Installed some side diffusers

Did some test fits and after the rain subsided

What'd you use for the side diffusers and what rear diffuser is that?

The side diffuser is an abs side diffuser that I had ordered from an s2ki vendor it goes for about 100 dollars shipped iirc they are planning on doing a cf version so in the mean time i figured i would try it out. the rear diffuser is a replica voltex rear diffuser it's quite interesting how well it fit! When I get wheels ill post more pics. The wheels I had 19x9.5 +22 was gonna take too much work to make it fit and be comfortable with so I sold it and am waiting for a new set

The rear and side pieces reminds me of Eric's TL (ACCURATEin). Interesting.

Eric's tl is nice but he wasn't my original inspiration but now that I've seen it his is definetely the end game ! Jason wu only has mild drop and rims then front side and rear splitter/diffuser sounds nearly stock if I do say so myself.

IMO i think your car has to be highly modded to even attempt pulling this look off.

plus, that rear piece just isn't doing it for me. doesn't look like it belongs there.

i appreciate the effort/work put into this but in the end i don't think it flows well. subtle is key and this thing is anything but.

maybe if the rear design was shaped/molded differently it'd be better idk

I agree with Shark here. Besides not being modified enough to pull it off, the rear a-spec lip for the base TL just doesn't have the look to pull this off.

I love the look of the WDP TL in the link you posted (front and side), but even that diffuser on the rear just looks too big and out of place. If they made a more subtle looking piece for the rear I think it would look much better then.

But as long as you like it, that's all that matters.

I agree, it doesn't flow with the bumper design. Never seen the car in the link you posted, that one looks a bit better but again the rear piece is slightly bulky looking. The thing about the diffuser on high end cars is it makes the rear end look more streamlined. I think to properly pull this off you would need to modify your rear bumper and cut into it/custom mold the diffuser in. If you get what I am saying, it is probably a ton of work but would look amazing if done right. Anyways props for trying something different man.

After looking at yours again, I think if you trimmed the sides of the rear diffuser and moved the whole thing up about an inch and then molded it into the rear Aspec it would look pretty damn good. Maybe if you wrapped the grey area of the Aspec in carbon fiber so it flowed better also. Just throwing ideas out...

Hehe tbh I knew no one on here would like it but figured I'd show some people what I'm up too once I get some rims and a front splitter it'll look complete the one thing is I think that it looks too small for the car as voltex doesn't have a diffuser for any car this wide haha. But the side diffuser works out pretty well! Subtle yet aggressive

The idea I had for OP when he first posted an image was to chop the diffuser in half and extend it.
That way... the sides "wrap" around the end of the A-Spec. It'll look less bulky and appear more flush with the bumper/lip/

But, OP, not bad. Could use more aggression though.

Well I commend you for not getting butt hurt, despite most of the criticism wasn't positive. Hopefully when you get everything completed you can make all of us eat our words.
