some pics of my NBP TL w/ a-spec kit

hey everyone, this is my NBP/Quartz TL. tell me your honest opinions, good or bad.

mods done:
*A-Spec kit, lip spoiler and wheels
*5% tint on the rear windows
*Color matched NBP grill
*Shaved drivers door keyhole (mucho props out to cTLgo for bringing up the idea, it looks very classy)

future plans:
*I'm currently shopping for a place that can do black chrome on the plastic engine covers
*Tint the door windows as soon as i get some felt/moleskin for it
*Wrap the center caps of my A-Spec wheels in real carbon fiber (i have some at home)
*Color match the aluminum strip above the rear license plate
*Comptech sport springs
*A lot of audio entertainment

damn u!!!

Now u really have me wanting to do the A-Spec body kit pieces UGHH!!

looks nice tho..i prefer the grill the aluminum finish tho...but i do like the uniqueness of your NBP grill.

Only thing im not quite set on is the gray parts of the A-SPEC kit on the rear bumper, because everything on my car looks clean and color-keyed. i am gonna have to make a decision on the A-SPEC kit pieces soon!! I do already have the lip spoier

NICE CAR!!!!

I don't care for de-baged car's. My opinion only, but I think it makes the car look too plain. Also, having the grill painted to match the car's color, also IMHO makes the car look like the trim is missing and too plain. It's just my opinion, and you asked! But...if you like it, GO FOR IT!! To complete the look you like, you should clear the headlights, that would finish the look you're after.

same....... but i still dont know why Acura had to 2-tone the rear lip spoiler.... was it too hard for them to paint the whole thing all the same color?

VegasTL you think we can get some pics of the CAI you have put. I would love to see how it looks? Also why didn't your ASPEC come with springs?

JetJock - thanks for your opinion, when i got this car i planned a theme for it, and that was: all black and stealthy appearance (haha is that weird?), but yeah i know some people won't like it, but that's why i ask for opinions, to consider doing something different that i've done andthat i might end up liking better off

cTLgo - no problem man, i bet if it wasn't for you no one would have discovered this simple mod at all.

Type S Lady - thanks for checking out the Type R hehe its actually my 2000 GSR with a type r spoiler.

no, i took the three pieces of the grill off of the bumper and had it painted at a body shop. i would have painted the gray portion of it but two reasons kept me from doing that: 1) because i liked it that way so it would match the front lip spoiler's unpainted portion and 2) the unpainted portion of the grill is molded to the entire bumper, so i could not have done it even if i wanted to unless i gave the shop my whole bumper, which i need. hope that helps =)

U ROCK DUDE!

Awesome!

Way to go debadging. That is usually the 1st thing I do on my cars. On the TL I left the acura word, took off only the TL. believe it or not last week alolne I had 2 cars asking me on the street: What acura is that?

Consider removing the black rubberish piece that sit in the back of the grille. That would make it even more aggressive, as it shows the radiator. I had mine taken out. I am ready to get my grille painted too.

Also anyone have opinions on painting the trunk silver trim ? I am thinking about painting it blue, but not sure if it will look good.

Can u give details on the keyhole shaving process? Repainting? How much did it cost?

hey, i like wat u did to ur front lights, i am gettim my 'O4" TL on July 5th, and the first thing I want to do to it is clear out the front lights, where can i get that done or where can i order the parts to convert it from. do u have to change out the whole light or can u just convert it, let me know as soon as possible, because that totally changes the look of the TL to make yours stand out more.

alright! I cracked! Ordered the underbody spoiler kit on friday! Got it for 850 picking up at my local Acura dealer in Vegas...i think thats a pretty good number. Acura of Escondido had it for 800, but then they wanted 100 bucks for shipping....

also ordered a new din sized DVD player to put under the passenger seat. The PS2 gets old having to use the damn controller and go through all of the BS at start-up..so i decided to take it out and order a compact Blaupukt DVD player with front jacks where i could easily hook my PS2 in if I wanted too!

beautiful car joen, I love the removal of the Acura and TL on the back, and the paint job on your grille is top notch. I am thinking about doing that to my car as well, only with WDP instead of the black, grats on the vehicle!
