Snow Day
Just got home after my car was parked outside after it was snowing - decided it was a good time to practice taking pictures, but I don't have a DSLR so I have to make do with a point-and-shoot - sorry about the pic quality
Also, feel free to give me tips about finding some interesting angles for photos
front (see my toyota matrix in the background?):

Wow. i can't imagine my TL covered in snow. I feel sorry for you non-Floridians
Pics are ok. Try taking some shots down low to get the TL straight on instead of coming down from above.

My car is stuck at the Richmond Automall and it's building with icecles. lol
I can drive it out, I have my snow tires at home and I'm trying to figure out a way to bring the snow wheels down from my house.

THAT'S a snow storm?
LOL You BC guys always make me laugh.
I lived in Vancity and in Richmond... Two inches of snow would be considered a 'snow day' and thus no school.....
BC "snow storm" is like a regular day of snowing in Montreal.
Anyway, you may want to try to get a way to get more light onto the vehicle....
As for angles, try say...
Some low 3/4 angles or a "half-bird-eye-view" on the hood/front bumper section...
Or perhaps a shot nearly parallel to the vehicle's side...

i think what really brings out the TL is if you are sitting like right where the headlight curve it, so you can get the front bumper and side shot/wheels in the pic it turns out good
for example...
you can get a good idea of what the wheels look like as far as gap, and such, you can see the stance of the car
and lip kit if you have it, and in my case, the hood
hehe

At the time of the picture, the snow was already falling pretty slowly - it was snowing much harder before, but granted, Montreal would get much heavier snow

I'm in Kitchener now, would love to visit or live in vancity/richmond again.
Great cities!... Once you look past the corruptness.
Did you get any new shots of your car? =]
You should bring the TL up to Whistler and see if you can get some awesome shots---or get a pic by the big electronic-bill-board for the 2010 Olympic countdown for us Canadians. hah

lol Sorry. My mistake. I meant to say snow day... I just kept thinking 'snow storm' because that's all we get in Montreal.

I don't wanna come to the wrong conclusion, but you do realize I started this thread mainly because I wanted to ask photography questions, and because it's kinda nice to have a snowy background. What are we supposed to get over?

Anywho, knavinusa. You have a tripod? What P/S are you using? forgot to ask you before....
At work I was playing around with some P/S cameras and they are getting pretty advanced.

I have the Panasonic DMC-FX33, and it's not a bad camera by any means, but it doesn't give you a lot of control. And yeah, I have a tripod.
I also have a PowerShot A80 lying around, but I didn't know enough about photography to use all of the features. Now that I do have some knowledge though, the FX33 does seem to be a bit lacking.
