SB-910
I use two SB-800's with wireless flash triggers. John, dont know about the D90's flash capabilities, but the flash themselves( sb800/900/910) have "flash detection" that causes them to fire simultaniously. You can sync the flashes in their menu option's as commander, and slave.

Eric,
According to something I just saw on youtube, the D90 is capable of triggering up to 6 Nikon flashes wirelessly in flash commander mode.

I've recently learned how to use the wireless flash by watching youtube tutorials.
I learned that I needed some transmitters and receivers in order to make the flash go off at certain distances and angles. I tried using the on camera flash to trigger the SB600 and 910, but sometimes it wouldnt go off and it made me angry haha. So i bought the paul c buff transmitters so i wouldnt have that problem.

^Yep, without using any triggers/slaves, the Nikon flashes have to be in clear view of the camera and not too far away...I'd say 15-20 ft. is pushing the limit. So yeah, the built-in features are definitely not without some inconveniences. Dedicated trigger/slave units will certainly be more reliable.
