Silly Vinyl Fun
Track day is Sunday, just practicing with some vinyl. I personally think it looks bad ass! And yes, it was very much Porsche GT3 inspired.

PS. Vinyl is a PITA to work with.

That looks cool though...and wow that's really good. How the hell did you get it to get around corners so well?

Did you get the idea from the white E92?

It took over an hour for each mirror! I can't imagine how long the hood would take.

already went there today to see what's up...the damn car is torn apart in the front. no bumper, no hood, no passenger headlight.

i was feeling like shit until i saw a porsche turbo there with $18k in damages....

The hood should be easier since its pretty flat and a lot smother edges. The mirrors have a lot sharper edges.

Looks good.

I'm sure this has been asked a million times, and it's not in your signature...wheel and tire specs? I'd guess 17x9, +40 with 255's.

I think it's 17x9.5 +29 all around with 275's?

It's actually 17x9.5 +38 (but actually +30 since it needed an 8mm spacer up front). Tires are Falken Azenis 275/40/17.

How did you get it to wrap so well? Hairdryer? Wet method? No wrinkles??
It actually has a few wrinkles, up close. I used a heat gun, a light mist on the surface, and a lot of patience. I'm probably going to re-do it again. It's actually quiet relaxing.

There is a guy local to here, he's I think 18 or 19 as well who's gone through an e46 M3, to an E60 M5, and finally to a e92 M3.

yea good try, but I'm not feeling it either. I think that BMW would look sick with a black vinyl instead of orange. I agree with stillhere I think red would look pretty sick!

Yes, rears are rolled. Fronts are rolled, plus slightly pulled.

I know, it will come real soon. Just been battling with the proper suspension setup and I think I finally got it right.

I didn't think they would look good at all, but looking at them again for some reason I like it. It just looks cool for the track, and maybe a week longer. Just wanted to get a cool color to practice with.
