RonJon Edition TL... We have a New Winner, One bad motherf-cker (56k no)
Guys, I took a ride in this TL to the photoshoot location and even on a sunday afternoon, people were gawking at the car. It's trully a neck breaker. I went to get something from this cafe and on my way back out to the car, I heard some guys swearing that the car wasn't a TL, lol. Hope these pics do it justice, but the car is a thing of beauty in person. I'll Let Bret do all the answering of questions since it's his TL.

RJ,
You are the MAN! That is one BADASS TL!!! I almost pity the folks who show up with a bone stock car. Add tints, and the car is manacing. Those rims you designed are timeless. Keep up the fabulous work!

yup, thats his car, blktl's car. and yes, he even showed me the timeslip. At one point he gunned it with 3 full size men in the car, and that car is damn fast, ripped through the gears. Wish I had a 6mt. Oh well, 2008 Acura CSX manual tranny, here i come!!!
Some one asked how many kits sold, well, worldwide, about 75. Alot in Canada and the Caribean. So at this point, i think it would be fair to say that there are 2 kits per state on average. pretty exclusive stuff.

It would be sick if you got all the hotest RJ TLs together and had a photoshoot
I know its probably impossible, but it would be sweet
From one Brett to another, car looks great Hopefully next spring I'll get to check it out in person.

The contrasted color really makes you focus on that grill which I dont like. It needs to be hidden or designed to give the engine more air flow. 3 Piece wheels are also the way to go. But to each his own personal taste. The overall car looks great.

1. I like the Rain deflectors for two reasons. I like the fact that I can open my windows and have a cigarette in the rain and they reduce noise if your windows are open on the highway.
2. Damn I want to do it so bad but my license has so many tickets on it that I can barely get insurance so I dont want anything else I can get pulled over for. and yes insurance takes into count any ticket even window tint when they look at your file if your reveiwed.
3. Devotions are great. i am looking into the 1 pc ones because they dont make the 3 pcs anymore. I want 2 sets of wheels for a different look in da winter and in the summer.

OMG!! you just keep outdoing yourself Ron. I must admit I wasnt a big fan of the kit but man that it going on my list. One question, how long do you think before you would see a difference in the paint. Whats the longest people have gone putting your kit on?

Well, Black is easy to work with, but anything else like WDP or SSM will show a difference. Its just the way things are, i think you would have to get the panels blended to really get it to match perfectly. That even applies with OEM bumpers that get painted.

(1) Tickets and pulled over by police for no other reason and removal if on front windows (this happened in 95 and I haven't tinted windows since---I just don't like the idea of worrying about the police for something so trivial)
(2) Imagine it would make TL's BLINDSPOTS and limited visibility even worse.
(3) Sunlight is not really an issue if you wear dark shades when driving (I do).
(4) The ladies can't check you out (may not apply to all)
(5) The admirers can't watch your NAVI from there SUVs next to you
(6) Takes away to the CLEAN look of the car IMO
(7) TL already comes with 75% TINT in solar green shade that looks hot, check it out carefully one day and you will appreciate it.
(8) Its such a common upgrade.
TINT PROS:
#1 REASON: More discreet for and and when she can't wait until we get home.

Now about the tints
I agree about the tickets and getting stopped but use a lighter tint on the front. Also, you are ten years older and shouldn't get stopped as much.
Blindspots are no worse if you don't tint too dark and have your mirrors right.
Sunlight is an issue for the leather interior of the car and tints protect and help with cooling a little.
Ladies and admirers can be delt with by using window down button as needed.
It's a common upgrade because it works and most think it looks good.
I waited about six months before getting mine tinted. Most of my friends are over forty and thought it was a waste of money until they saw the car. Even my wife agrees that it enhanced the look and keeps the car a little cooler when it sits outside. My opinion may change upon receipt of a ticket though.
