RonJon In Canada

Well after a great summer of buying toys this is where she’s at! And I know I need wheels but the snow is going to start flying here in a week or two, so I thought I would take my time over winter and find something. I’m looking for a black wheel with a nice shiny lip if any one has any ideas. Also will be getting a drop and exhaust. Hope you enjoy!

That is just beautiful! Makes me glad I bought NHB after seeing it shine. Mind sharing how you did the grill? As for rims personally I like the FOOSE Speedsters with a black face and chrome lip it's very nice and would finish the look of your rims. There is a pic of it in 20's on an Anthracite. It's post #12 on https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=98639

Looks NICE!! A nice drop and some good 3 piece wheels would make finalize perfection to your car! I wonder what some nice 20's would look like on the RJ kit? I love the color of that car! Blacky and polished lip wheels.. I can find plenty of those.. here's some choices...

With all due respect.......

I have to agree; I am not feeling the MESH.

Going with black mesh would do the trick though.

Other than that it looks HOT!!

Don't you get pulled over for the Tint being so dark?
You can't do that here in Cali.

where did you order your RJ kit from and if you don't mind how much did it cost you? Another question how did you clear out your headlights?

Go with a nice set of HRE's or a set of Devotions, Ronjon would hook you up on teh wheels, so you might want to go that way. Also paint that mesh black please Other than that it's looking great buddy

Looking AWESOME Mike!

Our "twin" cars are really coming along. I too am looking for some black mags for next season. Probably 19". Let me know what you come up with. I also want to clear my headlights... Thing is, gotta take apart the bumper and that means taking apart the Ron Jon kit. ARGH!!!

By the way, was the Rockblocker hard to install? Should I do it?

Your car looks absolutely great. Keep me posted on what wheels you choose, I might just copy you. I really like the wheels on the "Hot Arizona TL". Check out that thread, it's a beautiful car. I'm going to be doing a lot of the same to my car next summer. Dunno about the black grill though....

did you paint the upper grill yourself? (where the Acura sign is) If so, how'd you do it?

The thing with the RonJon kit is it looks awesome on cars with rims and a drop, but on the stock rims and stock suspension it does not look as good as the A-spec kit. Definitely should look sweet once some rims and a drop are on. Good luck with your TL.

People are slamming the silver mesh, but black mesh would be way to dark for a black car. I liek the Aluminum look, but if anything, maybe an anthracite colored mesh would work, without blending in too much with the rest of the car. We have yet to see an RJSD Kit with HID fogs integrated and a cut out of the mesh for an opening with rubber "U" shaped gasket around the openings, now that would be sick.

The Black mesh would not be too dark. It would be perfect. For me the mesh is a thing of the past. If you look above on the pictures I posted with the black rims.. there is an RX7 with the black mesh. Imagine if it had white. It would stand out and take away from the clean look. But again, to each his personal taste and the consensus already says the white doesnt flow well with the great kit you designed. Maybe you should have it optional?

I agree Ed, I think a matching color would keep with the look. But some colors tend to set off others. If and when I get the kit I think I may have the mesh black because black tends to compliment Anthracite better then a silver mesh..

But your car looks sweet no matter how you look at it. I can't wait to see it when you get some wheels.

Hey guy’s thanks for the compliments, as for the mesh I think if you go black on black your going to lose the whole effect of the kit, and it will look more stock. On the rest of the colors I think it looks great.

As for the tint it’s 100% illegal but just been real lucky. I’ve sat at lights with the cops beside me, and nothing. One time the cop looked then pointed out to his partner how dark it was and then they just kind of looked the car over. But I know my day is coming when that one cop is going to nail me.

I had the grill painted at the shop when they did the kit. One of those things you bring up after you agree on a price, they will usually just do it as a favor.

if he changes the color of the mesh, definently black out the headlights to match the batmobile status of the vehicle.. but if you keep it with silver mesh, keep the headlights cleared...

I might just black out the corners. Can anyone see what I did wrong? Both sides look identical!

I’m not sure if it was when I pulled the lights apart or back together. But at some time I bent the chrome backing away from the chrome bar. I didn’t notice it till I was putting the bumper back on. When I saw it I ran to the other side to check it and it was the exact same thing. I was going to start all over but really didn’t want to pull the lights apart again. After looking at it for an hour and everyone else saying no one but me would ever notice it, I decided to leave it. So now I have one of a kind headlights. You can only really see it from that angle.

Looks okay, but for some reason the RJ rear kit looked better on the anthracite grey TL. Maybe the black does not show the lines of it?! And, the A-Spec front kit looks better, maybe if you painted RJ front kit all black it would not look so strange? LIMO TINT! damn watch out for tickets. I like the wheel style Invincible! should defintely put some on this ride.
