Honestly, I just got engaged and had a 10 day trip to Southern California...so only because I would like to put some money back in the bank. Other than that, I LOVE the works...they are gorgeous, unique and I get nothing but compliments on them. We'll see...may wait till after tax returns start coming back for when people have some expendable income.
PS...took the bolts off the wing spoiler and realized they use a STRONG double sided tape to hold it on in addition too...wasn't worth the mission to me just to see what the car would look like without the spoiler. Plus, as aforementioned, I like the spoiler on this car, it flows with the lines of the car very well.
PS, here are the pics...left and rear, one side already had the 20MM ichiba spacer, one didn't.
I'm VERY close to rubbing, probably should have gone with the 15's, but 20 looks good, lucky I had done a light fender roll with a broom handle...super ghetto style but so far, no rubbing, probably would though if I had 4 people in the car. If I took off the rubber fender protectors it would look more flush but knowing my luck, as soon as I do that...I'll get a ding there.
Anyway, that's all for now!

Congrats on the engagement! That's awesome!
While the money from the Works may be nice in the short run, I think you'll miss them once the A-Specs are on for a while. Of course I may be wrong!

Very smart sir
I think I want to run 15mm spacers on my A-Specs. The 20s look great but I don't want to rub.

Ok, decided against ghetto rigging the fenders so I need to find somewhere around here that will rent me the tool or do it for me.
Yesterday put in a 6 hour day on the car...redid the headlights (well, just opened them up and cleaned up that fogginess on the inside of the lense that was driving me nuts, I'm SURE it was from the paint vapor from when they weren't totally dry (the paint) being put in the car and then heating it up with the lights...it emits fumes that leave a foggy residue. Anyway, got em all cleaned up...look SO much better.
Also retest fitted the WORKS with the +35 on the front (which sit pretty flush) and the +45 on the rear with the 20mm spacer. MAN the car just looks RIGHT now...ended up cleaning the works and leaving them on. Went to the UM game last night...got 3 individual compliments "that TL is bustin d***"(miami compliment); amazing; and neighbor's friend who had never seen the car out of the garage said it was the cleanest and nicest one he'd ever seen.
That always feels good to put so much love/energy/time/money into something and then have people appreciate it!
I'll put up some flushER pics of the wheels when I take some.

Totally agree...of course, now she's wet and dirty (as they say) and my pictures would suck. Till next time I wash her. I thought for sure we were set for winter no rain weather where I could wash and enjoy for a few weeks.

^I hear you on that man. I cleaned my car on Thursday and now it's grey and nasty because of recent rain.

Lol...oh well...as is the weather in South Florida.
On another note, decided to raise my car back to the Tein recommended height for shits and giggles to see if the car handled that much smoother (forgot). Umm...yeah, no...can't do it. Once you go low you can't go back...I swear...you go low then look at it and think, is that low enough...then you go lower and you can't raise it back up. Of course there IS an equilibrium point where the car is a PITA to drive.

your car is so sick and i think the XC8's look fantastic on your car. I got the same wheels 19x9 but Im starting to think these wheels are better suited on black cars not a white car like mine.

Brother, post up some pics and let's see em!
I appreciate the positive feedback btw...very kind of you.
Also
On a side note, discounttiredirect dot com...5 months later it turns out my 19's were cupping...defective tire. They're giving me full credit and taking care of picking them up. Went with some 245 falken 452 tires now...a little meatier. Can't wait to get and mount/balance. Ended up pulling the spacers and putting the +35's in the rear. Flush is cute, but I'm not cut out for rubbing tires etc. Ef that...not worth it to me. I mean, maybe I'll roll fender properly one day, but I did it my way and was STILL rubbing with 235's...I'd rather be tucked in a little...NOT rub...and be able to fit 245's.

Ok...also, here are some pics WITH spacers...although, as aforementioned, I've opted for wider tires and no rubbing so swapped front/back again and removed spacers. Going to return them...if there is a restocking fee, I'll be posting them in the BM so look out if interested in 20MM Ichiba.

I know I'm reallly late to your thread...but I love your grille. What/where did you get it done?
#138
Front grille?!?!?
I actually painted it myself. It's not perfect, but it gets the job done. Found a can of NBP at pep boys...did some coats of black primer, then NBP, then a few coats clear...then wetsand then compound then polish.
This was my 3rd go at it...and after a 600 mile road chip...I have to say the road chips that show the silver under are basically nil!

Your girlfriend drives an EVO?
Do not let go of her. Evar.
Never been a fan of the wing spoiler on the 3G but you're right, it flows great with your car.

I was hoping for the other Evo... oh well
You've got it lucky in FL. 5:30PM driving here requires low-beams

Ha ha...I guess you're right...I think I'd rather drive to work at 7am in the dark and have the day run till 8pm than this. But oh well, I can't wait for those crisp cool morning where the sun is shining at 8am too!
Thanks y'all...new tires arrived today, and ordered the power steering o-ring today too...that whistle is getting ANNNOYING!

I'm in Pines too man...
My honest recommendation would be to order from discounttiredirect.com
They just warrantied 100% some 5 month old hankook evo's I had bought...defective but they even paid for shipping back to them. I have to say that that is very amazing customer service to me.
And if you call and ask, sometimes they'll give you a price break. Free shipping too...
and for install...
Go to Tiresplus on dykes and pines. See Alex or Edgar and tell them Jeremy with the black acura sent you. Make sure Ricky installs the tires...he's the most careful.
Hope that helps.
