Do people still believe in covering their plates in pics? Funny.

It's important for anonymity. with your plate no. I can find out where you live and jack your car. Especially when someone posts pics of the cool stuff they have.

It's also quite important when doing auto-xing. At our local club one guy failed to cover his plate, photos were taken and shown online. his insurance company somehow found out about it, used the online photos as proof and cancelled his policy.

so yeah people still do believe in it's importance.

You are exactly right, with that much info i can find out a lot of things, but it takes some special clearance and fyi an average joe crook wouldn't have access to such info.

It's not Mr. Average joe crook I'm worried about. It's those professional theft rings which are plugged into everything that concerns me.

And I'm still more concerned about Mr. Insurance company knowing I'm doing some auto-xing, 1/4 mile drag strip, lapping days etc.

No special clearance is needed...just a PC and www.publicdata.com. The average Joe Crook can find out who the lienholder is, what OTHER cars are at your address, how much you paid, when you bought, previous owner. If anyone would like to test, I have a membership! Toss me a plate and state.

Can someone take a picture during the day. I am curious to see if the blue from the bulb reflects thru the reverse light lens when they are not on.

FYI:
I tried the reverse light bulbs in the license plate sockets, it really brightened up the plate but it distorted the clear lens which hold the bulb. So don't try it.
I am going with the 6 led bulbs for the plate in hopes that it looks like the new Lexus GS plate lights.
