Redid my exhaust tips

I bought an 05 recently and the exhaust tips were quite dirty and the paint inside was chipped. So I decided to redo them today. Used Barkeepers friend to clean the outside and engine paint to redo the inside after masking the area with blue painters tape. I think it came out pretty good. What do you guys think?

That looks awesome. Did you use brush-on engine paint or spray paint?

I just taped up the tips with newspaper and blue painters tape and used the spray paint.

Is it hard to find Barkeepers Friend? I've tried Brasso...didn't do a whole lot.

I got it from Wal Mart in the cleaning section where they have bathroom cleaners.

Nice work man, looks sweet. I had to polish mine too. They didn't look too bad but they did have the stupid black buildup from the exhaust caked on pretty good. Some wd-40 and flitz metal polish took care of that though!

Awesome paint job! Tips look new again. Would have been nice to write up a DIY with pics and all. But sounds pretty easy.

Thanks man. The only thing that needed patience was covering the stainless part with blue tape and even that wasnt too hard and then i just used newspaper to cover the rest and painted it. If i do this for my friend i will take some pics and do a write up.
