If they don't use their personal cars for work then why do you have the lights? Just asking.

i never identified my self as a cop but if thats what you wana call me then its ok cuz the wanabe part will be gone soon, ive never gotten so much shit for them before from haters most people that get to c them think they are kool then ask me how much to put them on there car, i say i will not put them on anyone elses car i dont want it to come back to me if they get cought, i had the regular white strobes in my old yukon and my moran freind thought he was kool and turned them on in front of a cop when i let him barrow it and got the truck inpounded and was arrested for "improper use of flashing rotating lights" thats what the ticket said..

why argue with the guy. he put up the money to have them... let him deal with the consequences... reiterating the law is one thing, but some of the ppl posting on this thread need to get over it....

Yes. you stated that you pulled people over before. You've impersonated a police officer.

I have now sent this to your local police department in Des Plaines.

All I know is that if you try this stunt in Cali, and you are not an active LEO, it can get pretty ugly. I'm surprised that the OP decided to take the risk, considering how a promising career in law enforcement can be quickly derailed by an officer that he doesn't know who may cite him for this. From previous experience, the background investigation can be very unforgiving.

Fortunately, the lights are hidden well and should not draw unnecessary attention if demonstrated out of the public eye.

EDIT

im actually going to school to be a police officer so yea its nice to have people fall for it all the time and i only turn them on people that deserve it and i know most of the local cops personally for being a repeat window tint offender in mutiple cars and i have been on ride alongs with them
No disrespect, OP, but... really?! I know it doesn't matter in the whole scheme of things, but you just lost all credibility with that one statement alone. Nevermind. I'm not so worried about your background as I am for the psychological portion of the employment process. Good luck in your pursuit (pun intended) of your law enforcement career.
