I just recently bought My 06 TL and have been researching the best posibble exhaust upgrade. Iv heard the comptech, hks, tanable Hyper madallion, and apexii exhaust systems on the car. Neither acually won my heart for the money and i really havent found any exhaust that sound as good as upgrading the stock exhaust. Since you really dont gain much power from exhaust, im doing this all for the best mid loud quality sound. More of a roar than a ricer sound. Can some one help me out with the best combination of resonator, muffler or mid muffler replacement and brands... Thanks

yea, i doubt 15whp.. .atleast not on this car... maybe on a Z-06 or STi

if you custom fab your exhaust, you are probably looking at like 2-3 whp gains... full catback replacements, about 7-10whp+

Yes! If only TL's had turbo's, turbobacks are the shitzzznit when it comes to power increase with exhaust.

 

Those must be some special HKS mufflers or the dyno he used is messed up.

 

So QTP cut offs are the only suggestion on a good quality roar sound? Im intrested in upgrading the exhaust "replacing mufflers resonators", rather than buying an entire comptech or HKS catback system. gotta save some money to spread the wealth across the car.

 

there's someone in the forum did stage3 upgraded and claimed that he gained 13whp.
