I tried the plastidip on my car for the floating mirror effect, but since it's NBP, you can't really tell that they're floating. Is that normal!?!

I just picked up the TL-S off the show room floor less than 2 weeks prior..I parked in a Bank parking lot , surrounded by curbs with 1 free edge on my driver side two blocks away from any nightlife...just to come back and see my sideview mirror HANGING by the wire threads slamming against my door in the pouring rain...F*cking College Towns! Someone BEAR HUGGED my mirror off...no "smashed" damage to the mirror, just snapped right off the base...On the side that was curb parked.. WTFFF!! Who does that? Seriously...I see people do sh!t to cars all the time in revenge...let someone damage my car instead off having the balls to confront me...They're bound find their car at the bottom of the nearest Lake I assure you!
Needless to say, I actually took my own shirt off and MacGyver-ed it in a sling and closed it in the window so I could drive home without it thrashing on my car because I couldnt disconnect the wire harness..
Rockstar, I will never...ever leave them unfolded...ever again..

Damn... thats messed up. Ive been in that situation too, I got all my windows busted for no reason when i was in high shcool. but yeah the floating mirrors is a pretty cool touch... maybe now you can pull it off since you have to get a new mirror.

Well, that DEFINITELY explains it! I guess I'm spoiled by the fact that my car sleeps in a garage at home and in a locked lot at work. I wonder if you could retrofit the motors or mirrors off of one of the cars that automatically flip up when parked.

I totally agree with you J on parking as close as you can to the curb....but you will be surprised with the kind of idiots around....
if am in a downtown neighborhood, i fold my mirrors....
if am at walmart/target I park as far as i can and leave the mirrors unfolded....
better safe than sorry

With a little creativity and some "dashboard hacking" that made me a little nervous to say the least, my boys Art & Dre did some justice to my EDFC relocation...It looks DAMN NEAR FACTORY!
