Progress Thread

I just joined a few weeks ago, but I had been following Acurazine for a couple months. I recently got my 2007 Type-S in April. I had previously inherited my dad's 1995 cadillac deville concourse, but months later it started to give me issues and I got rid of it. I originally wanted an Integra, but it wasn't roomy enough. I still wanted an Acura so I decided for a TL. We looked around for TL's and I hadn't considered the Type-S until one day we came across a silver one with 34,547mi. That same day we made a deal and I took her home. Prior to joining the site I had done some minor mods, but I have some in mind for the near future.

Future Additions:
Weapon R SRI
Sarona Roof Spoiler
Resonator Delete
Skunk2 Radiator/Oil Caps
Mishimoto CF Shift Knob
3rd Brake light cover
-1 inch Drop
LED DRL'S
RED LED Glovebox/Armrest

welcome to the site, you can register your color here https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/tl-owners-please-chime-855960/ thnx.

Just FIY for you don't get the intake they just a waste of money and you will gain noise not HP so don't even spend money on the intake, save your money and get a J-pipe instead.

Congrats Welcome to AZ! Check out the 3G garage for tons of info. Also register your TL at www.myacura.com in the USA or https://www.myacura.acura.ca/ in Canada. Save your Navi and Radio codes there. Check for any recalls your TL may need.
You may also want to post here:

Thanks! I had heard they don't add HP just give you better throttle response, but which J-Pipe do you recommend?

RV6 - ATLP - XLR8 should give you similar result of gaining in HP the only differences gain in these three are TQ.

I'm definately considering The RV6 or ATLP V2, I think I'll do both J-pipe and Intake, do you have one installed? if so how do you like it?

Nice progress

I'm not a fan of the front plate location though. The plate in the middle makes the front end symmetrical and I think that looks best

Thanks still got a few more things to come But I know some people aren't too big on the front plate relocation, I would much rather have it off completely but its illegal in CA
I don't like the plastic cover that comes behind the plate, and when I bought the car it was already fading, I wanted to have the "ACURA" Inserts, but again I think it would look best without a front plate

Hmm. Mind taking some more pics of the shift knob? I'm thinking about getting a different one and I like the way yours looks.

Is that a compliment? Not sure

OP the new shift knob looks good but I don't like seeing the gold piece at the bottom.

Yeah I don't really like it either but it doesn't bother me since you can't really see it unless you look down , I plan on replacing it with a black or chrome piece though. It's a spacer so it won't show the thread of shifter.

I like the stock Type-S "CF" better than the bland di-noc wrap. Everything else looks great!

I guess everyone has different tastes but I like the red lights since the Type-S comes with the red dash and stuff. But thanks I <3 this car!

It looks alright IMO but I like the look of the wrap since it's just like the real thing, but Thanks

How long did it take to wrap all of that? I assume it was more time consuming than hard.

I did it on different days, altogether I'd say it took me about 2 hours? But yeah, it's not that hard just have to cut, adjust, and apply heat to it so it fits the way you want it.

No, it's like a nut that covers the AT thread, since my new knob is shorter than the OEM knob. I didn't want the thread to show so I used that gold thing, but I'm looking for a black/chrome one to replace it. The knob comes with 3 thread converters.
