Buying these 255s
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....WR7GT&i1_Qty=4

Before I posted those night shots, I was thinking of doing something different to my upper fogs but no idea... just want something different
I might try hoen white bulbs may be

Dude your house looks really nice haha I didn't know that

house and car are ongoing processes slowly but steadily, getting there

...and NO 255...am thinking of 245/40/17....lighter than 255

245 has bigger diameter which should come down to somewhere at the same weight
and Tirerack says both 26lbs, I know not accurate but..

Do you know what cold psi I should use with 255 ones?

Oh fuck it doesn't have bigger diameter with 40

245 is $11 more per tire

245 is 245mm (9.6") and 255 is (10")....

on a 8" rim, I would go with 245....if you get a 9" rim, go 255....

also for the winter (if you are buying all seasons), skinner tires are better....thats why the all seasons I got are 225 (8.85")....dont tell me i didnt tell you

I know about tires but I was thinking 245 guys go with 45 sidewall, which makes bigger diameter than 255/40

245/40 sounds better now

yes, forgot to mention that LOL

when comparing to a 235/45/17 to a 245/40/17, here is from a website:

When speedometer reads 60mph on 245/40/17, actual speed will be 58.5mph which is 2.5% slower.

EDIT:
if thinking of a 255/40/17, here is the difference:
When speedometer reads 60mph on 255/40/17, actual speed will be 59.3mph which is 1.2% slower.

well the con is it throws your speedometer off....so if the speedometer is reading 60mph, you will be actually doing 58-ish, which is a good thing for you

pro is you will be lower, since this will drop your FTG

That sucks haha
I wouldn't want to lower the tire profile/sidewall in Boston

What tire would you get if you had 18" rims? Well, in my case 8.75" width

I have DDM kits down there, so I just keep ordering different ebay bulbs until I find the one that matches! I made it clear to this seller that it must match my osrams, I will not tolerate blue, because if I wanted blue, I'd have kept the ddm d2s bulbs that started turning purple on me, AND the white switchbacks, and the ddm h11 bulbs down low and the 6k led drl module from usr.

I'm sure you get my point.

1, the module I have doesn't require that I get anything extra, I can literally just pop in the Amber LED's and I'm good to go.

2, you won't find a "white" halogen...best you can hope for is a blue coated one that won't look anything like white, it'll look like yellow but brighter and then you'll have that dumb blue reflection in the reflector housing during the day. No thanks. Stick with your amber.

3, Kensun is blue as fk...I bought a set of h11 for my father in law, installed it...5K looked bluer than my 6K. That won't work. If the ebay seller I bought from works out to really be white and it matches the CBI, I'll let you know which they are.

Oh, and thank you brother...yep...sold the accord fogs AND my wheels yesterday. Sweet deal!

Your car sounds excellent, man...love the vid.

^^^XXR 535 are "coming soon"

i think thats what meeks is gonna get....i would not spend $$$ on getting stockies refinished since he will only run them in the winter....that money can be spend on getting the rear bumper painted

1- Oh haha

2- True.
Philips CrystalVision Ultra has slightly blue cover and gives 4300 as I read. Which has yellowish hue but only 18$

Philips Diamond Vision is 5k and has whiter hue, BUT not paying $50 for it although they ran 2+ yrs no problem.

Look this is Diamond vision

HIDs on MDX is stock 4300, fogs Diamond

Not bad right? I mean only bulbs I would recommend for low beams... but want bluish on upper fogs to match my Inspires
and something cheap

Sooooo I ordered Nokya blue bulbs haha

3- Dude I am assuming Kensun you had wasn't 5k
I had one, friend has one for his Benz, actually has 2, for fog and low beam, my brother just got one for his GTI

All 5k and matches exactly to my Osrams
That's 4 sets right there, and non had blueish hue on it.

I want wider tires and at least fill the gap with it a little. Won't use spacers

People say the 255 feels faster because its slightly smaller in diameter and a smaller diameter tire is the same as lowering the overall gear ratio. The difference is minor, you might be able to notice it but its not going to be much.

If you want performance 255 is the way to go for handling, braking, and acceleration. I switched to 255s as soon as my factory tires were worn out and never looked back.

-Said "i hate cars"

But might go with 245/40

No I was about to, and some private talk with Anil changed my mind
although I might order them if I see them in stock again because don't want to pay 100 for each rims to refinish

I have to refinish my stockies for sure because car shakes like hell

Rears are ok but, front left gives 1.25 and right gives .25 (which is alright)
Refinishing the left front might help but still at least 100$
I did balance the car 2 times at friends place, and still shakes the car...car, not only the steering

So kind of got pissed with these rims
Changing to 18" rims will bump the tire price too... soo hate where I sit right now

Ohhhh
Just saw the posts
True Anil I don't want to waste money on refinish
Thinking of not waiting for xxrs but dude I really love these stockies and I hate that

MEKO, do you have spacers? If so, you might rub with 255s. That's the only reason why I wouldn't get them. Plus you want narrower tires in the winter, not wider.

Really? Well I guess I'd give the KENSUN a shot then...I ordered him the 5K kit and it was VERY blue.

Good info otherwise, man...thanks for the pics and tips on the matching white.

No I don't have and don't want to use spacers, especially at the front
Narrow + lighter + better performance = 245 in my head right now
Between 235 and 255 at least

Meko, nice looking ride! i like the 5 spoke/stock design myself

Asked dad why they use funny looking tires when I was a kid

but I hate 225 stretch look
Winter is a long time period here

Thanks Vadi
Same here, can't leave Ferrari 5 spoke
I agree stockies matching to A-Spec, in and outs of the spokes + design totally match the car

Why no pictures of your headlights on your flickr page? Looks like took them apart for modding

bro, do you even Math?

225 is 8.85"...how is that a stretch on an 8" rim?

now if you go 215 on a 8.5" now that's a slight stretch....people run 215 on 9.5" rims which is hella stretch....

Anil what's closeout?

Means they discontinued the tire. They're "closing out", once they are all sold, there will be no more.

YES

If you're handy and the materials are cheap, give the wheels a try.
