im looking forward to getting a 3G TL in the future, right now i have a 02 TL

i wanna see double din's in the 3g TL, cuz i havent seen no pictures, it looks hard to do. if i do get the 3g TL i wanna know how it would look to have a Double din

please post up any pictures of 3g TL with DOUBLE DINS

 

What are double dins? Just curious.

 

double din is an in-dash dvd player and sometimes navigation screen... usually 6 - 7 inches.....

its under the category "in dash recievers"

there are ones that only take up one slot... aka "flip ups"

then there are "DOUBLE DIN"....and look more OEM... and take up two slots... and does not flip up... jus permanently.. the way it looks... like standard navigation

Other than audio, do this units have navigation?

 

doesnt look right at alll. because its too low, and also it doesnt look good without those volume knobs and stuff.. hmmmmmmmmm, better off just going with a NAVI TL. lol , if you were to put the TV in the upper slot replacing the screen, the tempurature display will be missing.. so that sucks !! i wanted a IVA-W505 with the blackbird in my next car.

Temp display on a NAVI is up with the clock, so you could replace the non-NAVI head unit and get the NAVI clock/AC display instead of moving it to the lower cubby.

stillhere - we're too lazy to search, so get to linking...you brought it up; you get to find it.

 

Seems like there's no viable or simple solution for adding an aftermarket navi unit. Those half circles are hideous if left exposed. I am anxious to see what other ideas you guys come up with.
