Pictures of My Smoked Tail Lights
Alrighty guys, another Lokius photo-op of my dirty white car with the new 20% smoked tail lights I recieved from rockblocker. First off I apologize for the car being as dirty as it is, and the lighting being pretty dark, its raining in San Diego. I should really say its flooding in San Diego, this weather is out of control. Anyways this light kit looks great on the car, and I would recommend against going any darker than 20%, especially on WDP. Here are some images...

Rep Points if you are feeling it please . I should say the last picture captures the color of the tail light the best during day. It's more of a dark ruby red when the suns out and theres alot of light on the lamp, and a black when its darker out. If you want special pictures, please let me know, its not a problem to go snap some more. Hope you enjoy

Very nice job. It looks great. Now all you need is to wash the car and take some pics during the day to see how the smoke tail lights look like during the day. I would rep you but no more rep points...sorry!

Nice pics Lokius. They look really good!!! I snagged a few of them to use on the site.
If anyone is in need of these please let us know. We have plenty of them in stock. If you dont have white and want to know what they look like on your color. Please purchase a set so others can see what they look like

awesome pics Lokius! I have my kit sitting by my desk at home, its not warm enough yet here in IL for me to install the kit. How easy was it? At least now I know what I have to expect when I install the kit... I got the headlight kit too, I'll post up once it warms up... Can't wait for day pics!

They cost around $50 and it is a film that you put on the outside of the tail light,
I should warn you guys it is pretty difficult to install this stuff properly, it took me a couple hours to get it perfect, and I am recently having issues with the stuff bubbling up on me now..

This mod should look really good on just about any TL Color. Hard for it not too. I am actually very impressed on how good the white came out personally.
As Lokius mentioned - he is having an issue that we have been made aware of that. It is being addresses as we speak. At worst case I think there might have been a problem with the adhesive in a small area from the pic he sent us. We will take care of Lokius. Check your email when you get a chance.
This product has an adhesive backing and can take a little bit of time to get right, but when you are done it turns out to be a nice mod.

I would strongly suggest ordering the smoked film through Rockblocker, the customer support I am recieving is well worth the purchase. The issue I am having is probably caused by the fact that I installed this set up and only waited a short couple of hours until I took the car out, and It got soaked in the rain, I'm starting to think that perhaps the bubbles could easily have been avoided with professional installation.
However, I am not stupid, and I think you guys can easily install this stuff and not have any of the problems I have. Here are some tips and a link for directions. There is a rival to rockblocker, a company called stickercity, they are the ones that make the kit on ebay, and I warn you to stay away, their auction is using false advertising, and I left 2 unanswered calls, anyways here are some isntall suggestions...
First off please take your time, follow the directions step by step DUH
Ok cleaning the tail lights first, water is fine, but after all teh rain, I mixed some alcohol and water together and washed down the tail light, i did one light without this solution and another with, and it does make a difference, try it..
I have found that using a hair dryer while installing the film makes it actually easier to avoide these bubbles, you will recieve a plastic tool that is used to push the film down, and while pushing you might want to heat up the film, when it cools it looks flush against the light.
Also another tip I got from Rockblocker, if you have the time there are two ways to install this kit dry and wet. Wet is the way that most professional shops would do it, however from what I'm told its alot more difficult and time consuming than doing the dry version, so I also recommend to stick with the dry version, just take your time with it.
Edited to include a link to stickercity installation guide... http://www.stickercity.com/store/cus...on=tailinstall

did you install the headlight kit yet?
--------
I can't install mine yet, my kits are feeling lonely sitting by my desk. The weather here is 2 cold and it has been raining for 2 days so I have to wait for the weather to clear.

I know alot of you are asking where I ordered them from, I got them from Rockblocker, and you can send him a PM or visit his website for the information. I highly reccomend them and would suggest getting them to compliment NBP especially.
Rockblocker, I would have loved to have you install a paint protection kit while your down there, I wont be back in San Diego till the 19th, will you be down there by then?
