Chips will happen regardless of what you do to try to prevent it from happening its a car and its driven on the road. Doesnt 3M or Dupont make like a heavy clear coat that can be applied there? That would be much better and unnoticeable. I guess i like a more streamline look thats why i bought a tl-s in the first place. There is some accessories that belong just on a truck and some just on a car, what are you going to put on your car next a Trailer Hitch?

I've got color matched stone guards on mine. I'd rather have them than the rock chips in my paint.

Lets put it this way chief .. I run a bra in the winter and mud flaps .. my car has been through 3 winters and the bottoms of the car still has all the paint and the front no rock chips ... some of us care about our cars to take these extra steps at times. I even tape over the backs of my mirrors in the winter ..

The 3M isn't going to stop the rocks from hitting the rocker panels ...

My car has small mudflaps too, I thought it came like that from the factory. Are you saying all TLs don't have them?

I like them, they are small and inconspicuous, and they protect salt from getting in everywhere in teh winter.

I have mud flaps and they are an absolute must in canada with all the sand and rocks on the road during winter and before the spring road cleaning.

Agreed - the weather just get so terrible up here, and our government(s) is too poor/lazy to do anything about it... so mudflaps is a necessity, that is anywhere in Canada OTHER than lower mainland BC (rain rain go away please)

The rotors are to enhance the visual appearance not to hinder it like a mud flap. Maybe you should just put your car in a bubble and not drive it because who knows, the sun rays might it hit too! Watch out for that!

serious who gives a shit lots of people here run mudflaps. They are not THAT bad on the TL they are pretty small and a lot of times they are even color matched.

Anyways to the OP, good stuff on the mods, enjoy your iSimple I love mine as well.
