I havent spoken a whole lot about the manifold since its a one-off creation but i have posted up a few pics during fabrication on instagram and it will be a good conversation piece in person i hope. It's one of those things where so much math and measurements went into it that id hate to bore most folks

If a 2liter k-series with head work and stock cams can make 530 at the wheels @ 22lbs then im shooting for 600

Wow, you've got some balls of steel taking on this stuff.

BY the way you are coming across the engine (and near the exhaust manifold) with blower intake air that is bound to get hot and then cooling it post blower with the intercooler....would you have ended up the same charge temps if you just fashioned a CAI on that side of the engine with no intercooler? Not doubting your work, just trying to learn.

Hi Robert. I can take credit for the technical feasability & overall design. I depended on a machine shop to take final measurements, create drawings and CnC the supercharger bracketry. My buddy performs the welding and specialized tubing fab, thus the amazing welds. Im happy to call this MY design, though!

Without turning this into a big discussion, why did you go back to a j32 head? What are the benefits over a j35 head?

I though the j35 heads flow ~15% more?

The percentage you stated is double that of what you would see on a flow bench comparing a j35a8 to a j32a3 head stock vs. stock or even modified vs. modified (I can only speak for hand porting, though...not mapped and CnC'd) and they only flow more on the intake side. All other j35 heads (regardless of year) will always flow less than the j35a8 on the intake, but this is for various reasons in port diameter, neck, and valve shape as well as valve diameter.

However, the reasons I went to the j35 head was to maximize flow and scavenging on the exhaust side so that 1) my 250hp direct port nitrous shot setup could be run with lower combustion temps, thus extending piston ring life and keeping octane at 93, and 2) ensuring my long 297 degree @ .050 duration and high lobe separation cams could run forced induction with less blowback through the intake valves, which if done correctly can be an awesome benefit when you're still able to run a fairly aggressive cam with a supercharger, which isn't something you typically do with well-behaved turbo cars for the street. Street turbo cars hate duration but don't mind lift. Drag cars are a different story

his using a J32a2 head. The one that still had the 3 port exhaust manifold not the crappy j32a3 head with the single port.
