...I don't know what I would have done with myself if my folks hooked me up with this car when I was 16!

Welcome to the forum! As Blackura said, any and everything you would want to do to your car can most likely by found right here on this site. Just utilize the SEARCH function.

Keep us updated with pics!

I think the first thing u should invest in is good car wax. Maintain a good shiny surface. U have a type-s, it's almost perfect. You can lower ur car.

it really depends on u though.

i envy that ur parents would pay for mods for ur car, if they did anyways.

i am waiting till senior year gets easier and then mods in the spring =]

Please lets not turn this into an age thing....

Mods? Drop that bad boy, get some wheels and don't touch a thing till you're a good enough driver to do some performance mods!

when they toke me to the dealer i was so surprised i thought at most i would get like i shitty TSX with no Navi. Then i see my dad in a TLS and i"m like Dam. i was really surprised myself.

one thing that i noticed that i wasn't to pleased with was the sound system so im getting a new one should be installed by january at latest!!!
and rim wise I'm not sure i taught about painting them but then again it would sorta look flamboyant?!?!?!

another thing is with my sound system in getting two 10 in the back with a LED set up in the tunk nothing special just to try to make it look nice and some red LEDs under the hood too. HELPS great guys keep it coming.

mhm i would def invest in some good maintance stuff, like wax and car wash and all that. gotta keep that red shiny! lol dont use automated car washes! and drive around to get used to the car before you upgrade performance wise. just get used to the feel of it. youre a lucky kid for sure tho

Nice purchase! Welcome to the forums!

I would probably start with the aesthetics...I'd drop it and put a kit on first.

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! another person that drove a new car when they were 16. When I first got my license at 16 my parents bought me a 2003 BMW 5 series. I sure miss that car. Its awesome being the envy but at the same time people don't like you because you have a new car. OH well its on them HAHA

Haha, I would have wrecked that thing. Guaranteed. I drove like a maniac in my hand-me-down 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix - I would have had no chance in this.

Speedy, that color is sweet! Mine is black but I love the way the red looks with the wheels (I wouldn't change them). It's tough to go wrong with the color choices on the S.

I'm only 26, but at the risk of sounding like your mom / dad - be smart with it and have fun!

thx loyal son and all good info.
every one at school thinks that the red is gay but i really like it. especially at night cause the florescent street lights give it a sick glow.
yeah i don't think Im gonna put rims on it but i do want to put in an air intake because its an easy install and it would give me about 8 hp. my goal is to beat my friends 335 i havent raced it yet but it should beat me pretty easy.

yeah and ill put some interior pics up i also just got tints so ill put new pix up thx for the info any more would be really great!!
thx

Yea, that would have sucked. I would have just slit my wrists right then and there. Probably opened fire on the dealership too.

Kids these days...

i dont have a tl-s, but i am pretty sure the intakes made for the TL will work for the TL-S. dont quote me though.

i suggest you add some tint, drop it, add the aspec body kit and throw on some ron job liquid graphite legends. then maybe a debadge leaving only the Type-S in the lower right hand corner. and if you really want a winner, paint it NBP and then its perfect

you lucky mother fuckin bastard lol

sooo what everyone else said, drop, aspec, tint. rims too, but if youre happy with them, more power to ya.

blacked out tails? headlights?

and if I were you id lay off the intake, 286 is plenty for a front-driver.

What's there to be disappointed about? I have a 2nd Gen, the Blose system is terrible in comparison to the 3rd gens system.

Can't you still do the Ipod interface with the 3rd gen? If so I would be all over that.

I really want to see a MRP or even the KBP with the front grille painted body color. My front grille only cost $210... maybe it's something you want to consider?

Listen kid, I'm not much older than you (I'm 20) but when I was 16, I DID run from the cops (on a 92' Subaru Legacy 2.5GT) and did do stupid stuff that was car related. PLEASE act like an adult in that car. I know from first hand experience of how things turns out when you make bad decisions...so...listen to me. That car is VERY quick and since you have a Type-S, it's yet another reason to mash on the pedal.

In regards to your friends BMW. Please race him on a track. Being that you are from FL...I'm sure you know what Nick Hogan has done recently right? Please don't become him. I hate to sound like a nag, but I'm serious. We have enough kids on the roads trying to be Vin Diesel and living their lives a "quarter mile at a time."

Please be safe and please be smart.

You better kiss your parents for getting you a car like this when you are sixfrickenteen years old. You know what I got when I was 16? A 1990 Geo Storm (Turquoise). Be the responsible son they think you are.

Last but not least...Congrats.

Real talk. Listen to this guy. I had a friend that was killed because the driver was going to fast around the corner and now the driver has to live with the fact that he killed two of his friends with his car. That kid was like my brother. Live everyday like you should but don't do things just because you want to "look cool."

P.S. Nick Hogan is one of the reasons why the Hogans are getting divorced.

For those of you unaware...Nick Hogan wrecked a Toyota Supra into a palm tree 3 or 4 months ago. His passenger (who wasn't wearing a seatbelt), is STILL in a coma. Granted, it's his fault and not Nicks that he wasn't wearing a belt, but Nick was doing 100+ at the time of the crash according to the investigation. That's on a STREET. A highway at 100+ is slightly different, but on the street...you're asking for it. I'm lucky I didn't kill anyone when I went 122mph in a 35mph work zone in the country (rural South Albany, NY for those of you who know the area).

Please be smart with this car bro.

you sound a lil like my grandma
but thx for the advise believe me i care to much about this car to do any thing like that. the stupidest thing ive ever done was go 70 in a 35 and got a ticket. thank god the cop didnt show at court and all i got was a slap on the wrist(that was in my moms TLS) o and the slap on the wrist was from the law cause my parent they layed the smack down on me. the promblem is that im 16 in the state of fl im not allowed to race on official tracks and everything so for now on occasion i go on Biscayne. its a 4 lane wide road were people some times meet. and if im ever at a red and a semi decint car pulls up ill take a chance. ive only raced a mustange GT with catback exaught and a mitsubish lancer 08. mustange was a pretty close race until i hit 3 gear then i blasted his ass. you cant compare jap to american trany. lance was a good race but there was no finish my V1 pick an X band up i pulled back and the lancer was pulled over. i love the V1
but yeah im trying to be safe

I went with my friend's 335i before.

Twin turbo, all I could say to him was...well nothing, he's already long gone with that twin turbo putting down approx 280whp.
