Pics of my new TL - NBP/Ebony - ASPEC body kit
I still havent washed it since I drove it home from the dealer last night and accumulated all sorts of dirt and dust (oh how I miss having a black car
) but figured I would get some preliminary pics, will wash it later and take some more.
I think this is a good pic and shows the body kit and deck lid spoiler really makes a difference.

Tint goes on in a week or so, 18 inch APSEC rims go on in spring - still deciding if I will keep it the new silver finish or chrome them.

This is my 3rd black car, and that is the tradeoff, have a color that looks like a 10+ plus when it is clean but has to be cleaned often or have another color that looks like an 8 when its clean.
Black cars are classy and makes even the cheapest car look decent.
I love them

I have no idea how it was prepped, that was the next morning after I drove my car home brand new from the dealer, I drove about 40 miles then took a photo in the morning without even washing it.
I did my 1st wash yesterday, I used my old "Kit" soap, chennille wash mit, then I dried it with the Absorber as I spraid Meguiers wax as you dry stuff. Then buffed the streeks off with a micro-fiber towel. I am ordering the Zaino kit and will wax it in a few weeks.
Here are some pics after the wash:

GQ, sweet car
congrats!
i thought the first pix were nice, but the washed ones were killer. I think i've narrowed my color choice down to one now. thanks. enjoy the ride.
i'm still up in the air about 04 vs 05. but hopefully I'll make up my mind soon.

Thanks guys, yeah once you go black you never go back! lol - this is my 3rd black car in a row, man its a bitch to keep clean but when it is clean DAMN, every day I get people staring at my car, I went to the tint shop and 3 guys who had 3 non black non acura cars came over to look at it and were just like "wow". I went to my buddies detail shop yesterday, asked him his opinion on Zaino and some other products, he saw I got another black car and said "welcome to my personal hell" because he has a brand new black 350z (his 4th black car), and he confirmed, no matter how much a pain it is to keep clean, nothing touches a black car, its just amazing when its clean.

He actually uses all sorts of stuff, told me different car companies have different paint and he uses different stuff or does stuff in different order in terms of what he applies 1st. He actually uses what I used to use since high school and that is gliptone, said he hasnt fond Zaino to be all that great and doesnt last as long, but still said its pretty popular. As far as the black paint, just prep it up nice for the winter, keep using the eagle one wax as you dry and Gliptone makes this other quick detailer he uses after the car is dry, I do not think they sell it in stores, he buys it in bulk.
My car is too new he said for a full detail, said there is no reason to use the 3M really fine compound, so he will skip that step on my car and maybe do some glaze (i forget what he told me ) and this other wax and some other stuff.
He huses a chamois to wash the car, and microfiber to dry it I think, also said Absorber is really good, but hes the 1st I have seen who uses chamois to wash the car with. California duster he likes too, but he also doesnt like usign any type of quick detailer unless you just washed the car. I know some guys will use a spray on quick detailer maybe 1-2 days after a wash and after using the California Duster, but that is just risky becuse you will be making tiny scratches from the quick detailer since the car has dirt on it and the California Duster doesnt get everything off.
