Pic Request Please: Antracite w/stock 18" wheel W/O Body kits

All pics here look nice but they're either stock 17" wheels w/o kit or 18" wheel (and above) with kit. Please help. Thanks.

Can anybody help me? I'm having a hard time finding this online. It doesn't have to be Antracite either, maybe that can better my chances. Thanks.

At first, I wasn't much of a fan of the 18 in. A-Spec wheels. But after seeing them on other Anthracite TL's, those things look gorgeous. Being a gunmetal-colored rim, it blends in pretty good with Anthracite models. sailorZ, nice car!

Hey thanks glnn01! Got the car in October, that pic was taken maybe Feb or March. I agree. Those wheels make the car IMHO. I still don't see them much on the road.

Ahhh thank you very much sailorZ. It looks very nice. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get the 18s but I havent decided if I should get the body kit upgrades or not.

I have the body kit on mine and I like the look. It stands out more then a stock TL. You can see pics of my car at the link below.

Just be very careful which tires you get with them Kindred. These wheels aren't very foregiving when they get curbed. Unfortunately, I've done it several times now.

What tires do you recommend sailorZ? Unfortunatley I'm not a car buff, what do you mean by "wheels not being foregiving when they get curbed". Thanks.

I have 235 series tires on mine, which causes the rim to protrude out past the tire, so if you catch a curb you scrape the wheel all up. Alot of people here recommend a 245 series tire so that the tire will protect the wheel somewhat from curbing.

Because of the painted/clearcoat finish on the wheel, they really look like crap after rubbing them against a curb. At this point I've sustained some form of damage to all 4 rims. I could just punch myself in the stomach when that happens.

Okay thanks sailorZ. A few more questions if you (or anyone else) don't mind.

First off I'm a first time car buyer so please bare with me.

1) The MSRP of the 18" rim upgrade is about 1500 (on acura.com). I'm assuming but just want to confirm that icludes the tires right?

2) Do you have a choice of what tires you want at the dealer? Its seems with all the talks of tire recommendations that you do.

3) On Acura.com they recommend the 235 tires. Why would they recommend those over the 245 if they have a tendencies to get damaged easily (btw I feel for you sailorZ)?

Thanks.

1) the upgrade includes the tires.
2) no, whatever is oem deliveredis what you get (unless your dealer is making a mint off the deal and satisfies your tire request)
3) they're cheaper and meet DOT requirements. i'm surprised they didn't go with a 225/50/17 on a 7" rim.

save your $$$ and buy wheels and tires somewhere else.

Any suggestions for websites to browse different wheel/tire packages for the TL? The options at "Tirerack" are pretty limited and lame, IMO...

If i buy rims elsewhere, will they take my stock rims and do a tradein? or is that not common
