PIC request : Grounding Kits / Hyper voltage

Real quick....

i am in the process this week of dressing up my engine bay and getting ready for a new system install... so i was tossing around the idea of a sun hyper voltage kit... mostly for aesthetics , but might help with my new amps coming in

anybody got pics? preferably a red kit... but any color is cool.. just wanted to see if it was wired up "neatly" and how it looks

thanks

It grounds your engine. So basically you have smoother operation of your car (the difference is not like something you would REALLY FEEL, but it is there.) You are basically grounding your car.

Some results.
Improves engine fuel economy
Improves engine power and torque
Smoother idling with better engine response
Extends battery life and better delivery to all electrical accessories.

It's been an hour. Where are you? j/k

I'd be interested to see opinions from people that have this installed. It's a nice cheap mod - and I'm a sucker for doing fancy stuff like this.

Although, I do think TB spacers are snake oil - but someday....

I have the same one for my TL and you can see the blue glowing light surrounding the capacitor when it is charged up. It is pretty cool. I must say I am very satisfy with this product thus far.

I knew I saw it somewhere... from another thread:

ground point at top of motor

Grounding wires are from an auto battery supply house and come in various lengths already made with the connectors in place. $19 for the entire set instead of the $110 thas Sun is asking. The GT kit is a little easier to install since you can terminate your grounding cables to it rather than going to the add on battery post.

Wrong.

It actually does help. I seen a dyno chart, and it did gain few whp/tq.

I will post the dyno sheet later.

lol. i find that hard to believe too... and if it does increase HP, it was probably on a car with a f*ed up electrical system anyways, and an amp that was draining power..... who knows

13whp... lol... my j-pipe only gave me 12, how is a freaking wire gonna give me 13whp...

It's not about the HP with grounding kits. It's about smoothing everything out. It's just a giant capacitor for your car. Anyone who races RC cars know what I am talking about.

Exactly, from what I've heard from actual people:

Smoother shifts with auto trans
Smoother Idle
No dimming lights
Car feels "peppier"

I'm sure it helps somewhat with power, but nothing that you would notice that much.

Should be getting mine sometime next week, not really expecting anything, just some engine bling. I'll update this thread.

Here is "their" explanation, and I think it's a pretty good one. I made the switch a few years ago from car audio, to home theatre. I don't have any $10k speakers or anything crazy like that, but I did invest in a $400 Monster Power Theater Reference something or another. Basically - it's a $400 power supply that has 10 outlets. But, they provide clean power for both sound and video (apparently there are different wavelengths that affect each).

So this actually makes perfect sense if you know a little something about electrical.

You improve the quality of the signals from sensors that your engine computer uses in order to optimize performance. These sensors are read thousands of times per second by your engine computer and any noise in the signal causes the computer to make poor decisions about how to adjust the timing and fuel delivery for example. Improving the signals by Hyper Grounding can improve the smoothness, performance and efficency of the engine. Sometimes dramatically! Whenever computer control is involved, it is critical that you get the best and cleanest possible signals so that everything runs as it was designed. There are high current and high voltage electrical loads everywhere in your car: Headlights, air conditioner, cooling fans, injectors, spark plug wires, ignition coils, and so on. All of these draw their power from various parts of the body and engine causing a noisy ground. Your engine's critical sensors feed off that ground, and they are depending on clean signals to feed to the computer, and it is nearly impossible to transmit back a clean signal in the presense of all of those other electrical systems. Hyper Grounding stabilizes and improves the quality of the signals.

Dyno Run 3 is stock : 155.6whp
vs
Dyno Run 4 is dynoed with T1R Grounding kit and Voltage stabilizer 160.7whp

This was done on tsx, but you get the idea.
