Phase 1, let the fun begin....

Two weeks ago, picked up a new 2007 TL Type S with A-Spec kit. Sorry about the standard photos, but I just had a few hours to take some pics before I had to leave for Japan. Right now, she's back in the shop getting a rear wing spoiler and window visors installed (yea, I know, we'll have to see what they look like but we use them a lot here in Japan). Front plate has already come off.

Can't wait to move back and start upgrading. Just ordered the illuminated door sills in red, so that should give it a bit extra. Window tint is an easy one, then begins the expensive stuff......

So you're bringing these over to Japan? You're going to be worshipped over there if you do.

A'right, another Moroccan Red Type S!

Still kinda regretting not getting the A-Spec wheels when I got mine, but...hopefully I'll be able to upgrade to those or the RJ Legends at some point...

Post more pics when you get the illuminated sills in! I've been thinking about it myself, but don't feel confident in being able to install them on my own. It'd be nice to know how they look on the Red TL-S...

Nice ride!

Blazinginder, thanks, I liked the red too when I saw it. The MDX is very nice. The sport package with the active suspension makes the MDX drive the best of the group. Go drive one.

That color flows well with the rest of the car. I'm really not a fan of red vehicles but that's definitely an exception.

ACCURATEin, I have been living in Japan for almost 3 years. Just starting to make the transition back to the states. First order of business was a new car. Haven't owned a ride in the three years I have lived here. Trains and subways are the only way to move about Tokyo.

Once the new wing is on I will do the windows as it is a simple event. I have only driven the car for a day before I left, so I need to spend some time with it to see what to do next. Reading a lot of good info on the boards about other user's upgrades. The A-Spec suspension seems pretty tight, so maybe some room for upgrades inside and under the hood.

Stay tuned.........

Oh yea, Moon Beach. Spent a week there, toured the island. Very nice place and much different (nicer) than the Kanto area beaches.

i was wondering if you or your wife can clarify that the cars color(moroccan red) shifts in different lights. I have noticed that it looks kinda orangish in certain lighting conditions because of the flake.

I am thinking of repainting my coupe with this color which is why i asked.

thanks

swift22, you are absolutely correct. In sunlight and at the right angle, you'll notice a slight orange-ish tint to the paint. We thought it made is just a bit different than all of the maroon, or scarlett red derivatives out there now. I went to the dealer three times (day, night, cloudy day) before I settled on the red over the CarbonBronze.

I love that color, its a toss up between that and the Redondo red pearl of the 04-06 TL. Might even custom paint my car that color, hell of a lot less expensive than the HOC paint out there now.

Wink Update, new wing spoiler

Ok, that took longer than expected. Dealer installed a whole new trunk to make sure the colors matched perfectly.
Don't bag on the photos, the wife took them and emailed them to me.

Oh man! You went to Moon Beach? I went there when I was stationed in Okinawa and that beach and Naha City are permanent memories in my mind! Absolutely beautiful! Well, the other permanent memory was when I got plastered the night before I returned stateside, was hungover the next day and had grape juice spilled all over my uniform in formation, and ducked inspection by changing rows in formation while everyone on my end laughed...lol!...but I digress

I'm an NBP fanatic...but that is one hella nice car! Man it looks gorgeous! It blends everything together so well...but don't be ashamed of being second to NBP...natural order of things it is...

Second to NBP, which means third in line overall... We all know WDP runs the show.
