a perfect match

just a few quick shots. im pleased with the results. i went through so many different bulbs to find a great combo

Kaixen 8500k D2S bulbs
Texon 8500K H8 HID bulbs

the slight loss of light from the low-beams was made up for with these kick ass fogs... they are pointed at the ground too, so it really makes a difference when driving and it doesnt blind other drivers

For the fogs, did you just switch the bulbs or did you require an HID kit? . . .i'm new to this, so i apologize for my ignorance

Which kit did you pick up for the HID fogs Blackura and just generally how much did it cost?

Nice, the bottom pic looks like an RL only hotter! What did you do with all those other bulbs that you went through? I'm interested in some new bulbs.

its a full HID kid. i did a awesome install.. ran the wires really neat, and mounted the ballasts in a stealthy and hopefully dry location. only thing is i ran one relay per ballast, so under my battery cover is 2 pos lead, 2 neg leads and 2 fuses.... i might clean that up later or consolidate into one +/- lead

can't even see the wires/ballasts.

aw, your car looks just like mine in that pic I'm putting in cleared/blacked housings.

How are you liking your 08 a spec kit now, I know you didn't really like it at first. Those fogs in it look I'll take those 9005/9006 off your hands even though I'm waiting on switchbacks. I can't wait to see your ua7 in person. you've been very stealthy about it and it's built anticipation. lol

Call me a hater if you may but you just negated the whole idea of having HIDs Stick one of the following in front of each bulb and I bet you wont get anything above 2000 Lumens. Compare that to stock 3400 lumens from each bulb. BTW when I say that each bulb is producing 2000lumens I am being generous, a loss of 1400 lumens from stock is like loosing output from a very good halogen bulb since halogens produce around 1200 lumens each bulb. Lets start worrying about what we see infront of us at night rather than what on coming traffic sees being omitted from out headlights, good luck trying to drive at night and poor weather.

Again I am not trying to bad mouth a product, being in the lighting business for 8 plus years it just pisses me off when people go north of 4300k stock bulbs.

kaixen had a 8 week wait ... texon was in stock (for the H8 kit)

JnC, yea, light output was lost... but it was also gained from the fogs.... so in my opinion, it almost balanced out even

i just drove in crappy weather at night to test out my EDFC, and yea, it was a little dimmer.. but i dont seem to mind that much.. i mean, when i get into my girls honda accord with halogens, that SUCKS lol

That's exactly what I want to do but with 6000K. Mind giving a link to where you bought the D2S bulbs and H8 kit?

Thanks. I sent Josh a PM but he hasn't responded. There isn't a site or anything that I can just order them from?

That's alright, I just ordered them today from Excelerate. They're only like 1.5 hours away from me so I should get them pretty quick.
