George is an advocate for the OEM look...he likes to add to it slightly, but doesn't want to drastically change the look of the car. That's the impression I get, at least.

I have a set of tuned genuine zkw lens in my headlights lol. I have a lot of lighting mods but its not visible in broad daylight. and rockstar is right, I think TL-s headlights are great as is, Im not sure what I can do to make it look better.

I like the lights on the inner and outter door handles. Very creative

Only thing MIGHT be to remove the amber, but being in Cali, I'm SURE you haven't taken that out for a good reason.

Nice job, George. Those'll look fantastic. I know you're probably generally against it, but you could likely space out those volks to get them close to the fender without rubbing? How much space do you have? You're handy, you an swap out your studs yourself with a small variety of tools. I had made a DIY a few years ago if interested.

well its not for legal reasons or anything, if the USR clear ones had a better fit I'd be down for those. Im still thinking about ideas on how to integrate the new morimoto xb strip.


well with my 245's, not a lot of space. Yeah I can replace studs, I've done a couple before no problem. I think if I wanted to space it out I would definitely need to go with a 235 or 225 tire. Well I'll rock these for awhile and see how I feel later on

kinda the only reason why I went with a +35 offset wheel instead of +25....am (going to be) running 245/40/18 tires....if down the line I wanna run 255 tires, I can without it chewing my tire/fender up....

No doubt. 245 is a great tire.
Bruce may be coming up with the ability to make some clear diffusers like the USR ones too, last I heard he was looking into it.

That's a nice look, those are "classic" rims to this scene, and as posted above, the rears could be spaced out a little more but not really necessary esp if you don't want to deal with rubbing.

George, do look into powdercoating process for forged wheels...

from what I have read, powdercoating compromises the strength of the wheel if not done right....

powdercoating should be done at 400degs....if its performed at 600degs or more, it might mess up the wheels....some shops do it at a higher deg for it to cure quicker....just make sure you hit up a renowned shop who know what they are doing

I did some research before deciding to powdercoat, I was actually on the fence about it for awhile, but what I've concluded is that as long as the powdercoater does it without making it scorching hot past 400 degrees, it should be fine. That's why I went with another shop this time(not the first shop that powdercoated my aspec rims). it's called primo powder coating, and they have amazing reviews on yelp. They've done many forged wheels before so I trust that they can do it safely. It's the best powder coating shop I can find in socal, it cost a bit more but you get what you pay for I guess. I took the wheels in today and they were super knowledgeable on powdercoating and very friendly, and had samples of many colors at their shop. yea I wasnt really feeling the red pinstripe. dont worry it'll be gone after the powdercoat. I'll post pics afterwards but Im having high hopes of how it'll look!

I just dropped off the rims today and didnt get a chance to weigh them. but honestly, these rims are super light compared to oem rims, I can hold them with 1 hand easily.

yeah i saw that website too, im not sure if the 16 lb refers to all 18x8.5 regardless of offset. I'd imagine a very low offset would have more concave-ness and and have slightly longer spokes which could make it heavier? or it might be negligible, Im not sure.
