Well we were not the official photographers for this event, but here are some shots. It was great weather and great fun, even with the ice!

Round 2 sounds good, but we'll need to wait till spring becuase of the chance of black ice again. So March maybe April. Or a heat wave to hit. Either one.

haha! that was no black ice. that was just a whole chicane with a big chunk of ice preserved by all the trees along the road covering it.

great work by all to help pull those guys out safely.

 

Ok well the Amazing thing is that the car doesn't have a scratch on it!!!! The back end of the car was hanging off the edge. I had a tow rope with me and some cool guy with a SUV pulled him out.

Damb, That was a blast. Perfect weather, a good show of cars and good peeps. I have had my 03 CLS-6 for 2.5 years and its days like this that make me remember why I bought it. For a bone stock car, I was still very impressed with the way it handled. This is the true way to see the limits of your vehicle. Thanks to everyone who set-up the Palomar Run.

Those look like they follow the trajectory of the civic SI that went off the road to the left!

 

I was talking to my buddy with the Si, and he thinks it may be a combination of both cars. But we're still not sure. I think he ended up in that patch of ice just next to the pickup in the shot.

 

Great pics and lots of fast cars. Good to hear the NSX got out of it without a scratch.

 

yep. he sure is. he was going to take his 328i but, decided against it cos of it being an Acura thing. maybe he'll bring it out next time. he took quite a few more of the M5 and M3.
