Old BBS Setup vs. New AME Setup

As you all may know, my old name was blackberryle84. I had to change my name since I forgot my pw and my e-mail address that it was registered to.

My old setup was 19x8.5 et32 235/35/19 BBS LM's with the red center caps.

I decided to sell the LM's due to financial needs and decided to go stock for about a year till I was financially stable again.

This year I decided to cop some new shoes for the ride. I been eyeing alot of people's rides with what shoes they got on it. Was pretty difficult to find since I didn't wanna jock people's style and I was picky.

After checking out rodney's ride, I decided to cop the same shoes as him, but less aggressive, and a different finish.

Four months of countless waiting, e-mails flying back and forth about different tires, fitment questions, they finally arrived.

I decide to stick to 20x8.5 all around with same offset as my old setup but with a bigger size wheel. Didn't really want to do staggered since our car is a FWD (to each it's own) and I can also rotate my tires as well. I think I should have went a little more aggressive on the offset, but I can always upgrade with minor things.

Here are some pictures of the ride with the new shoes. Feel free to express your opinion, positive or negative. This is a forum with different opinions on what people think right? So far, I've been getting really good comments on the shoes. Like rodneyy said, guaranteed 3 positive comments when you first put them on.

Yes I know about the scratch, fixing that next.

Too big and too bling...get the old rims back or at least get a big brake kit to stop those heavy ass rims.

Love the AME FX's, but if you got Ash Metal then I think you would get more hits... BBS LMs are just so bad ass. Either way, you can't go wrong

like the style, like the lip, like the lugs, but the chrome is killing it.

i've always liked the fx, but since you got 20" and because of the 5spoke design. you have to get some BBK to make it look right imo.

Yeah i'm gonna have to agree with others, the LMs looked much better. The AMEs are definitely sick, but I personally think they kinda lose their "sickness" with the 20" and chrome characteristics.

honestly. i LOVE the AME FX wheel... i wanted it , but am too impatient to wait 90-120 days for wheels....

the BBS LM's were more "iconic" in my opinion.... i think these look alot better.. but like the others said, a BBK is crucial now.... Red Rotora would do the trick

yah, i'm not feeling this new setup as much as the BBS. Definitely need to add a BBK (front & rear) to go with the new setup.

Overall, still looks good but not as good as the BBS wheels.

Daaamn you blinging now homie!! Lookz real nice but i would of personally gone with a staggered setup and these would of been a huuuge hit on here but like u said "to each it's own" either ways, your new setup is killer and thats just seeing it in the pix...i know in person it probably looks insane haha!! Nice work man...

Appreciate the constructive criticism guys. I guess when I had the LM's I wasn't really into it like everyone else. I only really got it because I wanted some wheels and I knew that LM's were a big hit and the price was a steal.

I think AMEs look pretty koo but like what others said, a BBK is needed bad. Also maybe partial blacked/clear headlights would probably flow better with the wheels.

well lets see.. i agree with the BBK, and if you lower the car about i dunno an INCH at the very least, then give those wheels a 20mm spacer and camber it. then you got a good set up!

I think both setups look good. It just depends on the look your goin' for. The old setup was 'sportier' this is definitely more bling! Tire specs?

235/30/20 all around. Didn't wanna go any higher because so many people around me kept saying it'll rub, which I knew it WOULDN'T.

Appreciate the criticism. Should I do 20mm for the front's and rear's? I was thinking 10mm.......

I think the car looks great with either wheel/tire combo you had. I'm leaning towards the BBS just a tad more, but I still like the new ones.

Is that your house?

CLS in the garage?

I love it... looks really dope... I'm a HUGE 5 Spoke fan... and those FX' have always done it for me... I wish I never sold them... It's weird cause the dude that I sold them to lives in Texas...

Car looks pimp... all you need is a BBK to shine behind them...

What disk did you go with???
