Official Introduction, WDP 3G BAY AREA

Hey everyone, my name is Adrian and ive been a long time lurker, moderate time member. Some of you may remember i made a "stance" thread a while back in which i was supposed to keep you guys updated on me fitting my set of work s1's. Since then the wheels have been SOLD as they do not fit into my set of plans. When my car is complete, my setup will be more aggressive, and it just wouldnt be smart to do body work to fit the works, and do more body work to fit the set of wheels that comes after that. For anyone who was wondering, the sizing on the works were 18x10.5+17, 18x11.5+17 (for those who i PMed the specs too, i was wrong) i have a lot of work left to do on my car, and it wont be complete til about next year, but you can expect the amount of work put in to be equal to that or rodney. (of course by the time im done, he'll be on to bigger and better things, inspiring me to push it even further than im currently planning) I dont consider my ride VIP or VIP styled, but im definatly VIP inspired. I did buy the car myself and fully fund my own project, so i could have easily went with a lexus or infiniti, but i decided to go with the TL and do something different. Before anyone makes fun of SUPER weak front fitment () if you'll notice, the wheels are actually flush with the front bumper, but when i rolled my front fenders, they were unintentionally pulled, thus making my wheels sunk. I'll be on air around the end of october so the problem will be fixed. You'll be seeing a lot of me as my plans for my build start becoming a reality, but enough with the chit chat, ON TO THE PICS. Disclaimer: the dude in some of my pics IS NOT ME!!!

Looks sick... LOVE that rear fitment. Tire tucks perfectly and there is JUST the right amount of poke..

but that ATLP roof spoiler, i'd ditch it..... unless you get the re-finished one with proper fitment.

haha thanks for the love everyone i must say, im really happy with my rear fitment. perfect amount of camber, tire tucked, rim kissing the fender.

@ua-siks

yea i think that the shallen cx flows amazingly well with the body lines on our car. i actually ORDERED these wheels months ago, before anyone was aggressive yet, so i had to order them based on only my measurements. at the time i placed the wheels, i was planning on keeping them for the duration of my car, so i got high disc to fit BBK. unfortunately, these wheels will be gone before i even get the BBK and im stuck with poor front fitment and no lip =[

@everyone mentioning the ATLP roof spoiler

this actually IS the replacement one...i originally had one that fit even WORSE and mike graciously exchanged it for me. the new one, obviously, still doesnt fit 100%, but trust me, its not going anywhere. It doesnt look that bad in person but yea it does suck that we can see light through it :P but i guess its expected with any non-OEM aero.

lol ur front fitment is exactly like mine man, I added 10mm spacers and I am still not happy with it. So I totally feel your pain. I have been thinking about air but now I am looking into hybrid systems have you thought about going that route?

True but I am thinking for my daily driver the cup kit seems like the way to go. Don't have to worry about a bag blowin out when I am drivin on the freeway to work or somethin. I know the chance is really slim but yeah. Anyways I just hope I can get the amount of height adjustability that I want out of the cup kit.

yea basically with cups, you select your ride height with the coilovers. the cup allows you to get over stuff. but it wont work for me cus ill ride almost full down on my daily routes, at my current ride hide for unknown roads, and up to get in parking lots.

sidenote: im surprised no one has mentioned the stretch :P

Yeah thats kinda what I plan on doin I know the cup kit doesn't have presets and I was hopin to have a fully slammed, in the middle and up high preset setup just like what you are talking about. So I don't know if it will work for me and I might have to go full air.

CALI STAND UP !!!

DeCaFe... Looks great... Respect for such an aggressive stance on coilover... that's dope right there...

I'm so happy that people are having the BALLS to modify the 3rd Gen TL outside the BOX (normal)... Cause anyone can buy used wheels and throw them on... But it takes guts to ORDER NEW with the knowledge that when you get them it's not going to FIT and there's work to be done after you receive your brand new wheels... Do your thing playa... RESPECT!

AIR IS THE SHIT!!! I love hitting switches on NYC Lowriders ...
