So my drivers seat was just twisting instead of moving forward and back. The left hand side as you were facing the front of the car motor was working, but the right had side wasn't spinning or sliding. I ordered a new part from DelRay that came in today and I put it in. All in all took me about an hour and a half. First thing was to undo the 4 main bolts that hold down the seat. After this, disconnect your battery and then tilt the seat and unplug the wires. (there are 3 of them). I then removed the seat from the car.
This is the new part that came in.
Unscrew the cable that attaches the two sides.
There is a 12mm bolt that attaches the rails to the seat. Undo this top one to allow you access to unbolt the old mechanism. You are then able to swivel this out of the way and get at the two 10mm bolts.
Unclip this wire
And this one.
Remove the two 10mm bolts (1 above and below my finger) this allows you to slide the bottom of the rail off (these two bolts also go through the sliver slide plate on the new part).
Next undo these two 10mm bolts that hold the part in.
Remove the old part, and reassemble in reverse order.

That's great, you should make a DIY thread to be stickied.
So what's the deal with the Brian6Speed and you sharing an IP address? Does the apology from you and him posting wtf is going on here (not sure how he even found this thread since he hates AZ so much) supposed to suffice for an explanation?
I keep looking at the fingers...
changing persona to see if there'd be a different reaction to advice and rants could have been plausible

I'm not sure there is any "deal" with Brian6Speed and I. Apparently somehow we share a same IP address? I honestly have no idea. Mods had contacted me asking how I knew him...the hard part is I don't have any clue who he is, how do you prove you don't know someone?? I guess there are some here who don't believe that I am who I am and think that I'm posing as someone else. Unfortunately, contrary to their theories, I am just a female with a few cars, that happens to like working on them.
My apology to him was simple. I truly am sorry if this issue caused him any harm, I honestly have NO idea why the IP's would show the same.
Anyway. CT SS came in today along with the bushings, and braided line. Teins have been sitting here. Planning on a garage night Sat

Trust me, don't apologize to THAT guy.
PS, do you use the same handle on other car forums? There's no way someone as well versed in car repairs AND how to let water roll off your back is new to car forums.
Impressive...
Funny enough, I always thought, man...I'd love a GF that worked on cars. Then I dated a girl that pushed me aside to put an intake on her car and was totally emasculated and changed my mind.

You're not the only one that has said that same thing regarding having a GF that worked on cars..LOL. I totally understand where you could be coming from

I started with cars around 2000 when I got beat coming off the on ramp in a bone stock Honda Civic SI. I remember like it was yesterday coming home and jumping on the Internet to research mods. It's been downhill since
Thanks for the compliment, I usually lurk but have been around on forums just as long. It takes quite a bit to get me upset. I guess part of that is that I get a ton of practice in that with my job. I'm pretty easy going by nature.

1 or 2 years on the car scene? You mean local car shows?
There's no way you were inspired to start modding by getting on the internet in 2000 when there was little to read up on and learn and places to order short of ebay.
I don't know and I appreciate you sharing, but something ain't jiving to me.

I started with simple things, intake, header, exhaust. Over the years the internet as well as a few friends (some of those came from "car clubs" both local and regional as well as people I've met along the way with the RSX) have taught me quite a bit. I don't claim to know it all by any means..never have..never will. I do however enjoy what we refer to here as "shop nights" and working on my own cars. Simple as that Hope that helps clarify a bit.

I was saying you were extremely well versed in forums, working on cars and sharing it with DIY style pictures and explanation.
That's all...
the way I read it you only did it for a year or two...which seems odd...but then said you did it for 16 years, which makes more sense although I recall the internet not being the wealth of knowledge we have now, back in 2000.
My not understanding isn't implying that you're not telling the truth.
I appreciate you sharing!

Just because AZ didn't exist back then, doesn't mean there wasn't already a ton of info and parts available all over the place

Man, I remember as far back as 1995, seeing modded CRXs next to my friend's house. An asian family lived next door to him and there was always a bunch of young guys modding their rides there. Plenty of other hondas and nissans getting modded too. Granted, it was nothing as crazy as these days, but people have always modified cars. It was just a bit harder back then

Adam, you're kinda a fuckin idiot. Your 2 cents are wrong in relation to my experience.
I didn't say nothing existed, I said it wasn't what it is today.
So no, that's not true.
I graduated high school in 1997...and my final couple of years I had to go somewhere to use a computer/printer for papers due that couldn't be hand written. But you're gonna tell me everyone had a computer at home in 1985?
No.

Here, let me help you:

Maybe it's a Floriduh thing, but there were PLENTY of computers in 2000 and plenty of people on the net. But sure, keep arguing. Because you know, no one went on the internet to learn about cars back then. Nope. I certainly didn't. And no one else did either. No Internet cafes. No internet at schools. No home computers. No computers at libraries. Nothing.
And for the record- no where in your post did you say "the internet isn't like it is today", but thanks for playing.
