Numairh's 3G TL Build Thread

I've been on Acurazine for a while now and have been driving a 2005 Acura TL 6MT for over half a year, so I thought I'd make my build thread.

This is around the time I got the car. Came with a Tsudo catback and was lowered on Tein S-Tech springs.

I then replaced the j pipe with an RV6 long tube

This was my least favorite stage of my car. Stickers all over... Didn't stay like that for too long.

Plastidipped wheels and brembos painted burnt copper.

I then removed the plastidip from the wheels, got my roof painted black, and changed out the Tein springs for HR race springs. HIC window visors

Custom taillights from ebay which I removed a week after installing.

Custom headlights.

This is how it sits now. Installed 6k HIDs, switchbacks, and Depo sidemarkers.

Repainted the brembos for the third time in 7 months

It's looking good man! Why'd you rip off those custom tail lights? Lol
I like the middle bar on the grille being silver while the top and bottom is blacked out it looks nice.
Are those the HIC or OEM window visors? They're so similar looking its hard to tell a difference.

Thank you! It's piecing together slowly. I took off the taillights because they were poorly made. You could see the glue around the edges and it looked really cheap. They're the HIC visors

Looks good. I'm glad you stuck w/ the stock wheels. I love the way the 3G looks lowered on stock wheels.

Thank you! I walked up to my car one night and realized how ridiculous it all looked.

I actually really like the stock wheels. I might get some spacers to get rid of that sunken in look though.

Nice progress.

Just wondering....is that an ASPEC sticker or actual emblem on the trunk?

Nice pics. I'm not surprised that your bulbs from DDM blew after 3 weeks though. Their quality of parts has diminished greatly over the past few years.

The ride is surprisingly comfortable. Stiffer than stock but not as harsh as some coil overs. I do have Tokico shocks though.

that rear a-spec is sagging a little. Lip should go over the bulge in the bumper.
Otherwise, nice TL, same one I had!!!

Sadly, about a month after getting the car, someone hit it, ruining my rear bumper and lip. I was able to salvage the lip and decided to stick with it. It's not perfect but it doesn't really bother me.

lucky for me i never had a problem like that with my TL. now that I drive the FX35, I notice scrapes on my bumpers all the time from people hitting me in parking lots. Back bumper twice, one red car, one green, front once by a black car. Door ding from a red car. Shit happens and it does bother me but can't do anything about it

The car overall is in amazing condition. Just little flaws here and there but it is also 11 years old. Can't be perfect

Installed some wheel spacers just now. 15 mm in the front and 20mm in the rear.

Excuse the quality

Found a bone stock TL and had to take a picture. Crazy how the smallest mods make a huge difference!

Suspension makes such a big difference on these cars.
