get on this project NAO! imo i think the 3rd coat will be too shiny to go with the tails but it does look nice on its own. when you get the chance i hope you post up both samples after 1 and 3 coats

Just a photo with clear coat. Valspar isn't easy to find in Louisiana, but we're abundant in Rustoleum. This is 3 coats. Finished product not as shiny (or clean) as I expected.

Why, why didn't you test spray a sample peice of do-noc? It lost it's 3D look! I sprayed a peice of that stuff with clear way back when I used some of it in my other mods. Didn't like it.

If your happy with it leave it. If not redo it. You don't want to take the lights off again later.

Yeah, I hate it too. Looked much better raw so I've wasted that section. Luckily I have more in the closet plus some in the mail. I also tried frosting the red lense but even though I gave it even sprays, I still ended up with overspray on the left side. I suck at spray painting. Would have done better spraying the paint into a cup and applying it with a paint brush.

Man, I still have yet to see a clearcoat on the Di-Noc that looks better than WITHOUT a clearcoat.
