Nismopowerqg's progress thread

Well i picked up these wheels and tires for pretty cheap today from JspecAuto in VA. Balanced em and this is how she turned out. Comments welcome

Verde Kaos 18x8 all around
2- Michelin Pilot Sport 235/40/18 (looks like they will need to be replaced soon due to the fact it looks like somebody didnt roll the fenders on the previous car and ate away at the tire)
2- Kumho Ecsta AST 235/40/18

$450 i see them going on AVERAGE $200 bucks new. seen anywhere from like 160-220 per wheel plus 4 relitivly good tires w/ 50% tread. Not a bad deal IMO

yeah i have a to do list. i think me buying the new subaru has fallen through, so a-spec,de-badge,de-pinstripe and some paint work here and there is in the works, i will loose those mud flaps when that takes place..But i am rockin 166,000 miles so idk if its worth putting a j-pipe on or not

btw, where can i find an a-spec kit

Not bad at all for 450.00. I would get some spacers for the rear to make them more flush, then an A-spec kit!

I have a friend in the Madison area that works for an Acura dealer that I got mine from (at cost) but I am not sure where to get the best price otherwise.

You should try and PDR those door dings. I had one like that and after the PDR guy worked on it I can't even see it.

called the PDR guy i deal with and he said he could not pull the dents in that door. they appear to be from a hammer or something of the sort. They are way to deep and the paint was chipped when it was hit. He quoted me 100 bucks to pull roughly 8 dents around the car that he could pop out. But those 5 deep dents will have to be repaired by a body shop and i got quoted 700 to redo both drivers side doors and blend the paint. Apparently my car was vandalized the rear window was smashed out and replaced, saw that when i put my springs on and had to take my back seat out and realized i had broken glass in there, and the rear window also does not say Honda it says PPG, and you can tell the glass was replaced bc you can see the glue or adhesive they used..maybe tint would make it less noticeable.

aw man that's disappointing you guys don't like the wheels but i guess everybody has there own opinion. And i wasn't planning on doing much to this car b/c i wasn't planning on keeping it long, but that appears to have changed. ill post pics of my further ventures with the car when the time comes.

UPDATE:

Finally! No more gay gold pinstripping!! I bought a 3M eraser and zapped the pinstripes off, took about an hour. Then i got a wild hair and took the "Acura" plastic logo off on the trunk..got a tan line from that other than the minor acura tan line it looks great!! Pics-

Mind the cell pics

Starting-

DONE(on the rocker panels you can see some road salt :/-

Not bad for almost 10 year old paint-

And the dreaded tan line..hopefully it will fade-
