I would have color matched the engine, the simulated CF is ehhhh, not a fan of the vinyl headlight covers, you will notice that there is a decreased output in the headlights (kinda takes away from HIDs). The dead pedal, cant really see too much cuz of the flash...
But remember, if you like it thats all that matters

Rider, nice job man! I like the Carbon Fiber engine compartment too. Tell us how you applied the Carbon Fiber please. Have you considered tints for your windows?

The CF Vinyl is an experiment and I love the look. However heat and peeling is a concern. Time will tell. I have less then $50 invested in material and my time (6 hours to install cleanly) so its worth the test for the look. The stuff is very tough and according to the manufacturer, the vinyl is rated for 201 F. degree's. As each peice is not directly over the engine, I may get some quality time with the install. To install, I removed each peice and did this inside the house over 4-5 days. I throughly cleaned all parts with isopropyl alcohol 3-4 times. Each peice was custom cut as large as possible to cover with 1 peice (where possible) and fit dry- no water or alcohol solution. Then I used a hair dryer to heat the vinyl and glue which helped it adhered extremely well. As well, the heat allowed the vinyl to conform to compound curves. Finally I wrapped the vinyl on the back side of the part and super heated it to further adhere the glue.
Dead Peddle- I have some thin aluminum sheets ( from old signs) that I custom cut. The then drilled, belt sanded and finally used a dremel sanding disk for the final look. Cost- $0, my time and some velcro to install.
Whats Next:
20% tints (with moleskins) for X-Mas, install next week.
54 peice Carbon Fiber dash kit- Spring

Rider, you'll love the Carbon Fiber Dash Kit. It will be a nice compliment to your engine compartment. I love mine, but that's not a common feeling around Acurazine though. I've got pictures if you'd like....
