New TL owner, and my other toy!
I just picked up this certified 05 6speed/navigation Tl, and have put around 1000 miles on it so far.... and so far so good. Ive got a few light things planned, but mostly light stuff as i have another toy! Comments etc.. will be appreciated, and any ideas, as far as mods are always welcome! I have been lurking this site for a week or so, and finally decided to sign up and register!
anyway, on to the pics...
Here is one with an 18x10 Volk GT-u, i had no idea the car would fit a 295/30/18 on a stock body!
On to the toy!
Excuse the filth, the car is still under construction!
A little turbo humor!
Thanks in advance for looking and for comments!
Also, please excuse the photo quality, they were all taken with my phone!
Take care
Mark

Holy crap! A 295/30?! I didn't know it could go that wide either. I wonder if there'd be any rubbing if you were to drop it.
And I looooooooooooooooove the MKIV! Too bad a good used one is worth as much as a new Type S.

Yeah, it cleared the rear by a good amount, however, i didnt drive the car. Those are a fitment for the rear of an MKIV supra!
Here is a side profile of the 295/30/18
THanks to everyone for the comments!

I cant only imagine the fun you have in that Supra. The sound of the motor is amazing. What kind of exhaust is on it?
Any major plans for the TL?

Im so jealous I wanted a supra so bad, but my dad wasnt having it. To bad they are soo expensive. They are about the same price as my TL I love the spooling of the turbo and I love everything about the supra.
Nice CCW wheels, they look awesome on the supra and pretty much any car they are on

Not too many plans as of yet for the TL, i have some cams to install in the supra, and tuning to do. It has a Wide Open Throttle Motorsports 4" turboback, which is all stainless with a burns racing muffler. Its loud as hell, and very distinct! I try to cruise, i cant get away with anything people can hear me forever! Car sure is fun, but it likes to spin the 19" tires, so it can get a little hairy@ 60+ mph!

I will soon enough, ill get some pics of the whole set on here, if i can measure and see what fits. It would be nice to find someone tampa localish that has a lowered TL to see how much clearance would be on a car lower than stock! Ill be sure to keep updating!

A few people pointed out that he looked a bit frightened to be there, so i finally saw the humor in it myself. Another friend of mine has a picture with this dog sitting inside a turbo, as opposed to in front of one...

I will never forget the first time I floured a single turbo Supra. Well, I didnt even flour it, I pushed the pedal down half way,
My causin (owner of the Supra) told me to go park his car because he was doing something. His supra had a SP57 Turbo kit and the basic mods after that. So, I decided to take it around the block, and went on a staight road. I made the turn on the straight road and was going close to 0 mph, then I pushed the pedal half way down and it took off. The turbo isnt that big, but that thing pushed me to the back of the seat. I was so pumped with adrenalin, and the way he mounted the BOV is that you can hear it from a mile away, which was icing on the cake. After that, I wanted A Supra so bad.

57 can/will still make excellent power with great spoolup! Nice setup for a street car!
My car currently is on an SP71GTQ turbo.. the rest consists of a 4" wotm turboback exhaust w/ a burns racing 4" muffler, WOTM manifold, HKS 50mm racegate, MSD 1000cc injectors, AEM EMS, HKS DLI, Titan Motorsports fuel rail, twin stock fuel pumps, FJO NTK wideband, Koyo radiator, RPS 6 puck unsprung hub clutch, Greddy 3 row FMIC, and a TIAL 50mm BOV. The wheels are 19x10 w/265/30/19's on the front and 19x11 w/305/30/19's on the back. Ive got some suspension and braking stuff, but nothing to the extent of the motor so far. Good thing stock supra brakes are excellent, but i may upgrade at some point. I also have a 4 point cage for now, and sparco seats, but i may wind up finishing a 6pt cage soon!
thanks for all the comments!
Take care
