New Rims for Golfjwr
I searched all over for what I thought would be the perfect rims for my TL-S. I was close when I ordered some MB Battles, only to find out not once but twice that they wouldn't clear the Brembos(even with 5mm H&R spacers). I told myslef I was not going to go through that fitment BS again, so I sucked it up and ordered some wheels that I knew would fit with no problems. I present to you my brand new matte gary Work Emotion XT-7, 18"x8.5", wrapped in some Z rated Gerneral Exclaim UHP 245x40. Red Work valve stems and red Rays extended lugs finish off just the look I was going for. Center caps should be here in few weeks.
Onto the pics

2 questions
1) what'd you do with the type s rims
2) is the engine bay color matched? we have the same color, that's why i'm interested.
the wheels look really sick. they match the car well. nice choice man

I saw these in person this past Saturday and they are gorgeous! Well along with the rest of the car too
Jesse you did a great job picking these out. Once you get those center caps and a drop, they will stand out even more. Both my girlfriend and I approve the wheels

Not bad not bad. I think I would like the car more though if you lost the red accents just doesnt seem right on a $30K+ sport/luxury sedan, but hey thats just me.
I will say your engine bay looks BEAUTIFUL!! I really like that!!
Nice Type S man.

Thanks! Offset is +38
The matte gray was the closest color I could get to gunmetal and I am really happy with how they look next to the CBP.
Thanks!
A drop is needed badly, however if I tell the Mrs. that she might drop me. All kidding aside a drop will probably be the next mod. Just not sure if I want to go full coilover or just springs. Springs are cheaper, but coilovers are a little more badass.
I wasn't going to post that pic because I was blasted when I first got them installed. However, I am glad that you did becuase I think they look hot as shit and it really sets my car apart. Thanks Tyler.
This site is full of great info and people who are ready and willing to help. Research what you want to do, then research it again, then make a plan. When I got the car, I had no idea that there were so many options that could be done.

looking real good jesse! i would do coilovers instead of springs, might as well just spend the extra money now....while you still can
but if you choose springs, i haven't had any problems with mine

Golf, you've got it now brother. Everything looks great. The red accents look excellent-especially with your Angel Eyes on! Are the center caps red?

I have no doubt that this car has not reached its full potential. With your passion for this beast, it will continue to impress us through time. Excellent choice on wheels Jesse.

Thanks JNC! You know the red halos are looking mean as hell and I get some really crazy stares when I am turn them on.
I agree, they cost a good amount of $, but they are well worth it.
I am working on it...lol
Thanks man!
Thanks for the kinds word Jamie. Next on the list would have to be to lower it with some H&R's, but that might be a few months out...well actually, am I too old to believe in Santa Claus?
You know it just might be the way I have the settings adjusted on the camera, I will have to check it out. Believe it or not those pics were taken with my wife's camera, which is far superior to mine.
Stock rims are gonna stay on the wall for now.
Thanks Eric, I am gonna have to agree with you that this car is far from done. However, I am pleased with it's current look...I can promise you that the modding will continue!
I have had a few offers on the wheels, but I really like the way they look on the wall, plus it's always good to have the stockies laying around just incase something happens.
Thank you!
I know the lugs will turn pink over time but, for now I really like the way they look.
I am telling you man this mod gets the most attention by far. I have had people stop in thier tracks and just stare at them. I get more questions about them, and I actually have had a few people move over on the highway and let me pass. My intention is to no way pretend to be a law enforcement officer or ride up on peoples asses, but its kinda cool when I see them look in the rear view and pull over immediatley
Thanks man! I swear its gonna get dropped, I swear
Trust me I tried almost every setup I could with the battles, they might have worked if I ordered 17" rims, but I wanted 18". I didn't see the point in getting another set of 17" when in my opinon the stock type-s 17" wheels are hot as hell. Thanks for the compliments.
