New Pix: tastefully modded TL 56k (maybe.....)
Well its been awhile since i have posted pics of my car. After seeing everyones progress on their cars here i had to show off mine.
Here arre some old pics when it was lightly modded!!
With my RJs without drop!
In the snow!
And now new updated pics of the car. A slight drop, black out lights and new wheels do make a difference from stock. All comments welcome!!
The painted engine cover grabs attention like a crime. I opened the hood at an auto store here in town went inside to buy some stuff and when i came out there were people staring and commenting!

Dang that looks great! I'm jealous of the A-Spec kit haha, I'm saving my pennies.
Any reason why you chose blue for the engine cover? Did you paint it yourself?

Thanks AZ for all the good feedback! I appreciate it! But yeah my car is just simple, you guys/gals out there have excellent rides and most are an inspiration. But yeah i dont know why is everyone interested in my lights, its the same as everyone else's. Done by JnC of course, has type s clear diffusers and replica ZKW.
Do you guys/gals have any suggestions. I know some will say get coilovers! but what are some of your thought. Mod bug kinda bugging me now!

SWEEEEEET the car looks amazing now! I still dont know why so many on this forum love to get those window gaurd things though. I guess if I was to change one thing on your car it would be to lose them gross looking things. Besides that the car looks unreal!!!!

I agree with you on the visor. Right when i put it on i was like okay looks good, but day after day i started to hate them. After a car wash it was difficult to dry under them, and if you are using the wrong towel to wipe them they will scratch up. So who knows maybe i will take them off one day and sell them.

Haha thanks man, I appreciate it. My mod list isn't quite as long as yours, but I'm hoping it will be sometime soon. I'm saving up to move out sometime soon so I'm not getting big stuff that I want like exhaust or coilovers, but I'm considering getting JnC to do some blacked out headlights for me. They are too sick

Damn, that's pretty much my same setup...now you're making me think of getting Aspec wheels (ebony black I think). They were off my list, but now they're back...LOL! Those legends look sick as hell too though. We'll see what happens I guess...AM FTW!

Your car is very clean looking. I have the same "new" rims that you have on there in the black chrome look. I am actually looking for new rims for my 08 TL. My TL is black and I am looking for a set of rims that will look sporty but classy. Any ideas?

Thanks for your comment. People have different taste in rims. Some will like one style and others will hate. In my opinion I think 5 spokes looks the greatest on our TL's. You can have split 5 spoke and looks good. As the matter of fact, i have been eyeballing "Lights" ssr GT3 wheels, now those are sporty and classy. They have a dark gunmetal look to it. Look in BM for his thread. Good luck!

The blue engine cover is a nice touch. Look into the RV6 strut bar and get it painted to match the blue.

Sorry to break the news to you the I took over the spot. Mike refunded the deposit to Chinaman in turn I get put back on the first batch for the exhaust. It's a long story, but we worked it out.

I don't think yer gonna need a camber kit for a 1inch drop. You should be fine. But hey, if you want to get then get it. Oh and btw, your car is lookin CLEEEAANNN...

actually the shop that installed the springs says that i may need some "adjustable upper ball joints." I dont know whaat that is and how much its gonna cost. They did an alignment and they say the rears are angled a bit. Can someone clue me in on what i should do or should i be okay just as J-steele mentioned!
Thanks in advance!

By lowering it your toe and camber will go out of spec. Did they give you a printout when they did the alignment? Anyways depending on how out of spec you are (I would guess not that much with only a 1 inch drop) you would want to get a camber kit. The Ingalls camber kit allows for adjustment of both camber and toe. Anyways with your drop you probably don't need one, but it is nice to have if you want to get the most life out of your tires, and the best possible MPG.

Dont listen to him about the upper ball joints, those are for the fronts. and in actuality with the drop you wont really need a rear camber kit.
Again thats up to you, just DO NOT FALL for the upper ball joint deal, dont need it, just get TOE aligned properly
