New exhaust; mixed feelings about it...
sup guys
I just got this recently installed, had the stage 2 exhaust mod for a longass time before I decided to further do the mufflers.
Had two Magnaflows installed with these tips.. sound is GREAT, no drone, no buzzing, deep grunty sound from about 1k to 3k and then my intake takes over.
I have having second thoughts though on how it looks.. it just doesn't seem right to me even though from the back it looks okay, but from the side does it look like it sticks out too far?
Any suggestions?
Btw it was only 350$ for parts and labor.

it's the ole adage...can't fit a round peg in a square hole. That's what's wrong with the look. to some its ok but i'm not a big fan.
that being said...you CAN fit 2 round pegs in one square hole...like the type-s exhaust.

get some bbq grill spray paint at the local hardware store (its heat resistant) paint the muffler, cover the tips while you spray of course, if will make the bottom of the muffler disappear
then definitely get yourself that aspec rear lip, like how the tips look

I might be biased, because I absolutely love the stop tips, but I see no problem with these tips. Like everyone's been saying, get the A-spec rear.

I suggested to paint the muffler body... leaving the tips, as is... cuz it appears that they angled the mufflers in /o/---\o\ <- if that makes sense

This is similar to what I have, except I went from the shorter tips to the longer ones because I thought it looked off seeing the front end of the tip from the side. I also used the straight cut tip.
So that I could put the mufflers in straight instead of on an angle like the stockers, I put the centers in the front and the offsets in the rear.
I wanted something unique, so I don't mind the round peg in a square hole.
