New 3G owner! WDP 6-Speed/Nav - pics inside
Picked up a 2005 TL on Thursday. It's White Diamond Pearl with gray interior, 6-speed manual, navigation, back up sensors, a-spec kit. Came with 10% tints and OEM all season mats and trunk tray. I got all the books, 2 keys and a brand new extra remote, original sticker, etc.
First driving impressions - I love this car. I think it has just the right amount of power, I love the short shifts and it's easy to drive. It's much lighter than my RL and 1st gen TL which I noticed right away.
I was searching around quite a bit to find exactly this car. I wanted WDP with gray and it just so happened that I found the exact right car. It has 67K miles on it, the synchros were replaced under warranty at 48K. The rear brakes are brand new and the front brakes are about a year old. Unfortunately the car only came with Blizzaks but I can manage with them until next spring. Winter's right around the corner anyway.
I love the options, it's nice to finally have a car with bluetooth and a built in nav - I have a wired in Garmin in my RL.
I went out in my garage at 7am this morning and clayed/polished/waxed it.
On to the pics:
My background:
I joined this site in 2003 when I got my first 1st gen TL
Current cars:
1996 2.5TL - 253K miles This car has been amazing. It's been in the family since 1999 when we got it with 124K miles on it for $6500. Since then, we have literally only done routine maintenance and it's been amazing. I polished/waxed it this morning as well
I also have a 2002 3.5RL. I recently gave it to the fiance since she totaled her sentra, thus buying the TL:
Anyway, I'm excited to join the 3G section. With the amount of 3G owners, there is A LOT more information on this side of the forum than there is in the 1st gen TL and 1st gen RL sections.

Blizzaks are OK - I had them on my AMG for just about the last 2 years I owned it. Put them on for winter 2008 (was in Minneapolis at the time), and by summer I knew that I'd be getting rid of the car in a year or so, so didn't want to spend the $$$ on new summers. Staggered + Directional Tires = Never Rotated, and they still had about half the tread on them after about 25,000 miles, including a hot summer.
The H rated Blizzaks have special compound on the first 25 - 30% of the tread to give them good winter performance while maintaining a high speed rating, but even after that wore off winter performance even in heavy snow was great.
Summer performance was not spectacular but not bad by any means - they weren't terribly noisy and turning performance was adequate.

Congrats on the new car!
BTW, Im in the market for a new car (after i crashed my beloved i30, which was nicely modded) and a 6-speed TL with Nav caught my eye. I am however now concerened about the syncro's problem. Do all of the 6-speeds need to have them replaced? and if it wasn't done before, would Acura do it for me even if the car is under warrenty?

Thanks guys.
Didn't end up driving it nearly as much as I hoped to this weekend, had to take the RL to Chicago Sunday. I drove the TL to work this morning. I forgot how much I missed stick! So much more fun driving. Also the visor sliding out that i read about in a different thread was a saver this morning in the sun.
Type One, I paid $16K

Looks like I may be picking up a set of stock rims/tires. They're off of a 2005 TL and were taken off the day it was purchased so they're brand new - no scratches, no rash. I just hope the tires aren't dry rotted.
I'd love to pick up another set so I don't have to swap tires twice a year.
