NBP Finally Zaino'ed and 1 new Mod

Ok guys, finally had a GREAT weekend to give the TL some attention. Did the full Zaino treatment (dawn wash, clay, Zaino wash, 2 coats Z5, 1 coat Z2, with a final spritz of Z6). Also installed the color-keyed mud guards.

Pretty flowers

Nice looking ride there! How long did it take you to do it? Have you been doing this for a while? Took a class? You seem like you are in my area.

Thanks, took most of the day as I waited at least 1 hour between coats (and the z2 took FOREVER to dry). Started around 9:30, finished up about 7-ish (which is why the sun is down in the horizon and pics are a bit blurry due to me turning off the flash and not using a tripod). I would have finished earlier but both neighbors came over (one which has an 04 TL and now want's to Zaino HIS car) so we chatted for about an hour.

This is the 1st time I've ever used Zaino (and the 1st time I detailed the TL since I've had it (Jan 5th eek!). I just read the directions and, don't tell anyone, didn't use 100% Cotton Made In The USA Towels as I cannot find them A N Y W H E R E ! ! !

I'm pretty anal about my cars but never did this much, was a Mothers man with the 626 and it did well, even after 12 years where the last 4 or so I pretty much neglected it (1 wax a year if that!!).

I was nervous about clay but because the car was new there wasn't much on it to remove so I was pretty easy with it. I want to do another coat of z2 next weekend and see if it gets any shiny-er!

I'm up in North East, MD, near the DE border off of I95, aren't you down by DC or Annapolis? Of course there are no less than 4 Germantowns in MD.

Not yet but really want to. I've never had any of my cars tinted, kist never got around to it. The TL CRIES tint so I'm going to start asking around for a reputable local shop. I don't want to go too dark to lure ticket-happy police or thieves.

Yup! Though, I didn't know we had more than one. We better be #1!

Hey Rick, your neighbor has the right idea because I definitely wanted to bring you mine! (after she gets out of surgery for the back-in :angryfire )

Do you use Porter-Cable for your detailing?

Did the wifey make you put those flowers in the last shot?

Good...they have some "distant" relatives over in Germantown that might need their help one day!
