NBP with carmel interior.. touched up some interior panels with black

So i decided to blend it out with black interior panels with dupli-color interior black paint... its actually came close to stock.. I painted the glove box, drivers side knee bolster and panels that run along from foot well area to the rear.

Here's some pics.. comments welcome

Looks like I have to do touch up on the drivers side..

dammit...
You SOOOO beat me to the punch.

I'm 1/2 done with a similar mod, was gonna bust on the scene with the first black and tan interior... It's taknig a while AND costing a fortune.

I've been slowly ordering black TL-S interior parts to do a two tone look on my parchment interior.

It'll look just like that, except I'm NOT doing the lower dash (glovebox and under steering wheel) in black. I don't like that transition there.

It starts with black under the dash (where the hood release is), runs the length of the pillars like you did, then I also am installing a black rear parcel shelf (covers the rear speakers). That look draws the eye from front to rear, and "frames" the interior. The black rear shelf matches the front dash I already have black mats, and I replaced the fake wood with the fake carbon fiber piece.
Another theme I'm following is if you "touch it" it's black. So I replaced the seat buttons, glovebox knob, grab handles, and various other small roof pieces with black ones.

I'm still on the fence with reaplcing the carpet... so much work. But maybe. I also have to repalce all the door seal, becasue they have thay tan stripe... That sucks. = $130

Big photo shoot soon. The last of the parts will be here in a week.

Why would you paint the interior panels of a perfectly good looking car? YUCK!
But I guess as long as you like it thats all that matters.

haha lol!

I hear ya' kennedy. I was thinking about doing the same thing. Camel on top half of car / black on bottom or a mix-n-match of some sort along those lines. Just being a little tighter on the wallet lately....

Did you use a spray? Did you pull the panels off when painting? It would have came out a bit better. It looks like you just masked the area. There's an obvious line you missed; must be the panel below overlapping. The flash is kinda giving away some minor flaws here and there in eveness. You'd probably want to do the sides of your console and go all the way and complete your look. Good concept, points for effort, I'm sure it looks better in person.
